Logan Morrison (knee) said Wednesday that he's optimistic he'll be ready when spring training begins next month. Morrison underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in December and took his first swings Wednesday. "There's still swelling," said Morrison. "It still doesn't feel 100 percent, but I think if there are no setbacks I should be all right. If I have to miss a week of spring training - and I'm not planning to - that's probably the most it will be." The 24-year-old outfielder batted .247/.330/.468 with 23 home runs, 72 RBI and a .797 OPS over 525 plate appearances last season.
