Logan Morrison underwent successful right knee surgery on Wednesday.
Morrison underwent surgery on the same knee last offseason and never felt quite right during the 2012 campaign. It showed in his numbers, as he finished the season batting just .230 with 11 home runs and 36 RBI in 93 games. The Marlins are expected to use him at first base going forward.

Logan Morrison will undergo season-ending surgery on his right knee on September 5.
Morrison was transferred to the 60-day disabled list last week, so his return this season was all but ruled out anyway, but news of the surgery makes it official. The 25-year-old will need about six months of recovery time, but expects to be ready for spring training. The Marlins will likely use him at first base moving forward.

Logan Morrison (knee) will rest for another three weeks before being re-evaluated, making his return this season unlikely.
It appears at this point that LoMo will avoid another surgery on his right knee, but the inflammation is bad enough that the Marlins don't want to take any chances. The Fish are expected to move him permanently to first base next season, which could help reduce the stress on his knee.

Marlins placed OF Logan Morrison on the 15-day disabled list with right knee inflammation.
It's the same knee that he had surgically-repaired over the offseason. Morrison admitted that it might be a season-ending injury, as he's worried an MRI could reveal a tear in his petallar tendon, which would require another procedure. LoMo has been a disappointment this season, batting just .230/.308/.399 with 11 homers over 93 games.

Logan Morrison went 1-for-2 with a solo homer in Friday's 3-2 victory over the Cardinals.
Morrison has now hit safely in each of his last nine games, going 12-for-27 (.444) with four homers and 11 RBI in that span. Though he's been slightly disappointing on the season as a whole, the 24-year-old slugger still has tremendous potential and could be headed for a big second half of the season.

Logan Morrison is currently dealing with some soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee.
Morrison is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Brewers, partially because the Marlins are facing left-hander Randy Wolf, but his knee is also barking a bit. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Logan Morrison homered for the second straight game in Wednesday's blowout loss to the Red Sox.
LoMo now has four extra-base hits and six RBI in his past two games. The hot-hitting has upped his slash from .229/.315/.365 to a more palatable .241/.326/.412. He's worth a flier in leagues where he's been dropped.
