Logan Morrison is not in Friday's lineup against the Astros. It's just an off day for LoMo, though it's surprising it's coming against journeyman righty Lucas Harrell. Morrison is hitting just .188/.300/.188 through his first 19 plate appearances, while this will already be his third benching in eight games this season.

Logan Morrison had an RBI single Friday in his return to the starting lineup. Morrison is coming back from knee surgery. He's expected to play in Wednesday's season opener, though he may need more rest than usual in the early going.

Logan Morrison (knee) is scheduled to play seven innings in the field Thursday in a minor league exhibition game. Morrison has appeared in just one Grapefruit League game due to his surgically-repaired right knee, but there's increased optimism that he'll be ready for next Wednesday's season opener against the Cardinals. The 24-year-old outfielder is expected to play a full nine innings on Friday.

Logan Morrison (knee) is scheduled to play the field Tuesday in a minor league game. LoMo's non-surgically-repaired left knee locked up on him Monday while he was hitting. But the Marlins clearly aren't overly concerned. He should be ready to man left field next week on Opening Night against the Cardinals. Giancarlo Stanton (knee) will also play the field in Tuesday's minor league game.

Logan Morrison had to be helped off the field Monday when his left knee locked up while hitting. We're not sure if this is good or bad, but this is not the same knee that he had surgically-repaired in January. There's still a chance that Morrison will be ready for Opening Day, though the Marlins are unlikely to play him in any Grapefruit League games until they are absolutely sure.

Logan Morrison (knee) admits uncertainty about his status for Opening Day. Morrison began a light running program on Thursday and is scheduled to DH in a minor league game Saturday. "I don't think I'm going to tell them," Morrison said. "I think the knee is going to tell me. The knee is going to tell everyone. I can't tell it what to do." At this point, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com suspects that Giancarlo Stanton has a better chance of being ready on April 4 than Morrison does.

Logan Morrison is sidelined again after he experienced swelling in his surgically-repaired right knee Wednesday following his return to action Tuesday. Morrison says he's not in any pain, but he has to "get the swelling out of there for it to heal." The Marlins and Morrison don't seem concerned at this point that the outfielder's availability for Opening Day might be in doubt, but if the swelling in his knee remains much longer, it would seem to be a possibility. "I'm not trying to think about any of that," Morrison said when asked about possibly missing Opening Day. "If I think about that, I might kill someone."

Logan Morrison (knee) is in Tuesday's lineup. LoMo began feeling some discomfort last week in his surgically-repaired right knee and sat out the past several games. It's not a major concern in Marlins camp, but team doctors wanted to play it safe. He should be fine by the start of the season.
