Logan Morrison hit a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Braves. LoMo's 22nd home run of the season was his fourth of the month and 10th since the All-Star break. He's now batting .291 in September after hitting just .219 in August.

Logan Morrison is sitting out Sunday in order to rest his right knee. The Marlins are calling the decision precautionary, so it sounds like they're just being proactive to make sure Morrison's knee, which kept him out of the lineup for a couple days last week, doesn't get worse. He should be back in the lineup Monday.

According to the Miami Herald, Logan Morrison's grievance against the Marlins could take up to a year to resolve. That's quite a long time for the situation to be hanging over the team's head, and it would be far from surprising if the Marlins at least explore dealing their 24-year-old left fielder this winter. Such a move would of course be foolish, but owner Jeffrey Loria has proven to be nothing if not rash in his nine years in charge in South Florida.

Amy K. Nelson of ESPN.com reports that Logan Morrison has filed a grievance against the Marlins in regards to his August demotion. According to Nelson, Morrison argues that he was disciplined without "just cause." The Marlins surprised many around baseball with their decision and while they argued that his demotion was performance-related, he returned to the majors as soon as he was eligible after batting just .167 (4-for-24) with one home run and five RBI at Triple-A New Orleans. It remains to be seen whether he will be vindicated, but this certainly won't help his apparent crumbling relationship with the organization.

Logan Morrison (knee) is back in the Marlins' starting lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Phillies. Morrison hasn't played since Friday due to a bruised right knee. He'll bat fifth Thursday against right-hander Kyle Kendrick.

Logan Morrison (knee) could return to the lineup as soon as Thursday after being diagnosed only with a bruised right patella and chronic patella tendinitis. The diagnosis doesn't sound all that great, but it could have been much worse. He might be available to pinch-hit in the series against the Braves and could be back as soon as Thursday. "(Dr. Lee Kaplan) took all the swelling out, so it feels 10 times better than what it did," said Morrison. "I thought I was done for the year, and they he took it out. It was kind of sore. It's nothing that wouldn't let me play soon."

Marlins manager Jack McKeon indicated that Logan Morrison (knee) could return to the lineup Monday. McKeon said only that "most of the wounded would be ready by Monday," referring to his slew of sidelined players. Morrison bruised his right knee Friday when he chased down a ball in foul territory.

Logan Morrison is not in Saturday's lineup due to a hamstring/knee injury. It's not clear when or how he suffered the injury. It seems to be a day-to-day situation, so we could see LoMo back in there on Sunday.
