Coming off a two day mental break, Logan Morrison went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and his 16th RBI in Sunday's loss to the Rays. LoMo had been just 3-for-25 (.120) in June coming into this afternoon. It's possible there was no correlation between his break and big afternoon, of course, but today was just Morrison's second three-hit day of the season, while the doubles were only his sixth and seventh of the year. Hitting .227/.315/.349, more "mental breaks" will be in LoMo's future if today wasn't a sign of things to come.

Logan Morrison is getting a few days of mental rest. Morrison has just three hits in his last 30 at-bats and is sporting a weak .216/.307/.329 overall slash line. "We can not win without LoMo hitting well I don't think," manager Ozzie Guillen told reporters Friday.

Logan Morrison went 2-for-4 and scored the game-winning run in Monday's game against the Nationals. Morrison homered off Jordan Zimmerman in the fourth inning, and later doubled and scored in the sixth. It was a much needed breakout, as he entered the game on a 4-for-25 slump. Morrison's average is now up to .241 on the season, to go along with five doubles and a .338 on-base percentage.

Logan Morrison is not in Wednesday's lineup. He's presumably getting a day to rest his right knee. Greg Dobbs will start in his place at first base and bat cleanup.

Call it a hunch, but it paid off big time as Austin Kearns belted a two-run homer in the first inning. Logan Morrison is fine and available off of the bench in the game.

Logan Morrison went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the Marlins' 5-3 defeat of the Cubs on Thursday. Both hits were singles. Morrison is off to an extremely odd start, in that he's still without an extra-base hit and he's struck out just twice in 35 at-bats. Last year, he averaged an extra-base hit every 8.9 at-bats and a strikeout every 4.7 at-bats. It's safe to say that his knee problems have forced him to make some adjustments. His usual power might not make an appearance this season.
