Tomlin allowed seven runs on eight hits and a walk through just 1.2 innings during Thursday's loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The righty has now been hammered for 13 runs through just 6.1 innings this season. Tomlin's 37.0 hard-hit percentage isn't too out of line from his career 30.2 mark, and he's definitely been unlucky in the BABIP column (.520), so he's likely to figure things out sooner than later. However, he's a fringe asset in most settings to begin with, so you'll probably want to take a wait-and-see approach before risking another beating to your ratios.

Tomlin allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk across just four innings during Friday's loss to the Diamondbacks. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin put just one baserunner on through the first three innings, but he allowed two runs in a fourth-inning rally and was chased from the game after four men reached in the fifth, all of whom came around to score. He did allow just two extra-base hits and threw 69 percent of pitches for strikes, so there were some positives to take away from his first start of the season. Tomlin will look to bounce back Wednesday against the White Sox.

Tomlin is scheduled to start the Indians' fourth game of the season, April 7 at Arizona, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Francona formally announced his rotation Monday night and added that nobody will be skipped the first time through the order, even with an off day. Tomlin allowed 36 home runs last season (third-most in baseball) and those issues have carried over to spring ball. The right-hander has served up seven homers in just 18 Cactus League innings.

Tomlin coughed up five runs and hits over 6.1 innings in Saturday's Cactus League start against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is that Tomlin didn't issue any free passes, but the bad news is that he served up four home runs to a division rival. Despite the uneven performance he already has a spot in the team's rotation sewn up, so sometimes veteran's use these opportunities to work on new pitches or tinker with their existing arsenal. Let's hope that's the case here.

Tomlin hummed 3.2 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out one in his spring debut Thursday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After setting a career high for innings pitched last season -- even before the Indians' deep postseason run -- it was a no-brainer to bring bring Tomlin along slowly this spring. But even with a delayed opening act, Tomlin looked ready for regular-season action. He was so economical, facing just two more batters than the minimum, that manager Terry Francona allowed the right-hander to work into the fourth inning. "He always does that. He commands so well that when he's commanding like that he has quick innings," Francona said. Tomlin's 15 pitches per innings in 2016 finished tied for fifth-best in MLB.

Tomlin will likely be limited in his pitch count during the early going of spring training, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given the injury plague that hit Cleveland last season, Tomlin was thrusted into extra duty during the postseason. The Tribe seems to be content giving the veteran some rest early on in Grapefruit League action, which should help him stay fresh as a rotation mainstay once the regular season rolls around.

Tomlin will be moved up to start Game 2 of the ALCS on Saturday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was necessary after Trevor Bauer suffered a non-baseball injury on his pinkie, which required several stitches. Bauer and Tomlin switched spots, with Bauer now slated to start Game 3 on Monday. Tomlin will be pitching on normal rest. He now lines up to start again in Game 6, if necessary.

Tomlin is scheduled to start Game 3 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Just as he did in the Divisional Series, Tomlin will take the ball for the Indians' first road game of the series. Nothing is set in stone, but this move would likely set up the 31-year-old to face Toronto's Opening Day starter Marcus Stroman.

Tomlin will start Game 3 of the ALDS on Monday after Sunday's game was postponed due to adverse weather conditions, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin's start has simply been pushed back a day, following Sunday's game being rained out. Tomlin has been dialed in lately, as he's notched a 1.75 ERA and 0.78 WHIP over his last four starts. During that time (25.2 innings), his control has been elite as he's walked zero batters.

Tomlin (13-9) won after allowing two runs on six hits and no walks with three strikeouts in 7.1 innings against the Royals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After struggling for much of the second half, Tomlin delivered one of his best starts of the year on the season's final day. His command was excellent, as he threw 64 of his 88 pitches for strikes and did not walk anybody, lowering his MLB-leading walk rate to 1.0 BB/9. He did allow a home run, however, his 36th of the season. Tomlin's 5.9 K/BB and 1.19 WHIP are very good, but unless he's able to keep the ball in the park he'll continue to be a middling fantasy option.
