Tomlin's MRI results confirmed that the injury to his left hamstring tendon is more serious than originally expected, as the right-hander will need about six weeks to recover, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin initially hit the disabled list Monday after leaving Sunday's contest with tightness in the hamstring. Although it seemed as though Tomlin would return from this setback fairly quickly, the MRI determined that the right-hander's hamstring is a mild-to-moderate strain. The 32-year-old will begin the lengthy road back within the next few weeks, and should be in line to return by mid-September, barring any additional issues.

Tomlin (hamstring) will head to Cleveland to get an MRI on Tuesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Thankfully, most people close to the situation believe that this injury is fairly minor, although things should be clarified once the results of the MRI are revealed. If everything comes back clean, Tomlin may be able to miss just one turn of the rotation.

Tomlin (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin exited Sunday's start after just four innings due to left hamstring tightness, and it appears that this issue is bad enough to warrant a trip to the DL. He'll need to miss at least one start as a result of this designation, although a timeline for his return has not been set. Tyler Olson was recalled from the minors to fill his spot on the active roster, although look for the Indians to simply roll with a five-man rotation until the veteran hurler is ready to go again.

Tomlin was removed from Sunday's start with left hamstring tightness, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander navigated four no-hit innings of work Sunday prior to being lifted from the contest. Since the severity of the injury is unknown, it's unclear whether this issue will affect his ability to make his next scheduled start Saturday against the Yankees. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Tomlin was removed from Sunday's game against the White Sox after four innings with an apparent injury, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin made it through four no-hit innings on 56 pitches before meeting with manager Terry Francona and the team's athletic trainer at the mound before being removed from Sunday's contest. There's been no word on the reason for his early departure yet. Tomlin was relieved by Nick Goody.

Tomlin (7-9) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six batters through six innings during Monday's win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin took advantage of soft matchups against the Padres and Giants in his previous two starts with consecutive wins and just two runs allowed through 14.1 innings. It was encouraging to see him keep the streak going Monday, and he could be kick-starting a nice run to finish out the season. With a powerful offense providing run support, Tomlin has the potential to continue being a solid contributor in the wins column, and his fantasy value is trending up. He lines up to face the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in his next start.

Tomlin's next start, originally scheduled for Sunday against the Jays, may be pushed back if Corey Kluber's stiff neck feels well enough to pitch, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber was scheduled to throw Friday, but a neck issue forced manager Terry Francona to shuffle this weekend's rotation. "We're still trying to figure it out," Francona said, adding that he's unsure of who Sunday's starter will be. If Tomlin does get pushed back, he'll draw the Reds on Monday, a team that beat the righty up for five runs on nine hits over 6.1 innings back on May 22.

Tomlin (6-9) allowed three runs on six hits while striking out five over 7.1 innings during Monday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
After a rough month of June (6.75 ERA) and an ugly first start of July (4 runs over 4.2 innings), Tomlin has now put together back-to-back quality starts to lower his season ERA to 5.74. It's worth noting that these two outings have come against the soft-hitting Padres and Giants, which does little to change the fact that Tomlin remains a pitcher that is best left out on your league's waiver wire. The 32-year-old is scheduled to square off against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Tomlin (5-9) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out six batters through seven innings during Friday's win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Tomlin had allowed three runs or more in each of his previous six starts for a 6.90 ERA and 1.83 WHIP, and Thursday's outing was just the fourth time all season he allowed fewer than three runs. The veteran is strictly a matchup play -- and not a particularly strong one -- in the majority of fantasy settings until he proves otherwise. He takes a 5.90 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 6.8 K/9 into the All-Star break.

Tomlin was hit hard in a no-decision Saturday against the Tigers. He served up two home runs en route to allowing four earned runs over 4.2 innings and added just three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday marked another rough outing for Tomlin, who has now allowed four or more runs in each of his last four outings. He also hasn't gone deeper than 5.2 innings in any of his last five starts. His 17 home runs allowed ties him for the 14th worst mark in all of baseball. Tomlin will get one more start before the All-Star break an outing against the Padres set for Thursday.
