DeGrom's elbow was examined Friday and while no structural damage was found, he does have inflammation and will likely not make his next scheduled start, Mike Puma of the NY Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

The good news is that nothing structurally wrong was found but the inflammation may have existed for a while, explaining his three poor starts in a row. No word yet on who will replace deGrom if he does miss the start, though it may be Gabriel Ynoa, who was promoted with the Sept. 1 roster expansion.
