DeGrom was a tough-luck loser Tuesday versus the Pirates as he allowed three runs while striking out nine and walking not a single batter across six strong innings.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom allowed just two extra-base hits Tuesday, but each came with a man on base, setting up all of the runs he would ultimately yield. The long-haired righty now has an impressive 2.80 ERA and a solid 1.15 WHIP through 61 innings pitched, but a real lack of run support has seen him lose or earn a no decision in five quality starts thus far. However, he has compiled a 11.88 K/9 rate over his last four starts after posting a relatively low 5.75 mark through his first six, and all signs point to the wins rolling in if he continues to perform at this level. He will have the opportunity to do just that against this same Pirates club at home on Tuesday.

Updating a previous report: The Mets announced that Monday's rained out game in Pittsburgh will be made up in a doubleheader Tuesday, meaning that deGrom will get the start in Tuesday's Game 2, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
The immediate news out of Pittsburgh suggested that deGrom's start would be moved back to Wednesday, although that won't ultimately manifest with Steven Matz getting the nod in Game 1.

DeGrom will start Wednesday due to the rainout, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom was originally scheduled to pitch Tuesday, but due to the rainout, he'll be pushed back and will take the hill Wednesday. The 27-year-old lefty will bring a 2.62 ERA and 1.16 WHIP into Wednesday's matchup with the Pirates' Francisco Liriano.

DeGrom tossed seven impressive frames Wednesday against the White Sox, striking out 10 while allowing just a run on five hits and two walks, but received no decision.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets went on to lose in extra innings despite deGrom letting Chicago get nothing other than a Todd Frazier solo homer. He's now posted consecutive seven-inning, one-run outings, but it's now been a month since deGrom has won a game. The pitcher himself shares the blame for that to some degree, but his offense and bullpen have certainly not been there for him, and it's hard to pin the lack of victories on deGrom when he's still sitting on a sparkling 2.62 ERA. He'll again look for that elusive fourth win Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

DeGrom struck out seven and held the Dodgers to a single run on three hits, three walks and ahit batsman over seven innings Friday, but didn't receive a decision in an eventual walk-off win.
EDGE Analysis
He didn't have his best stuff or his best command by any means, but deGrom has shown a remarkable ability to battle through such issues and deliver strong results on the mound anyway. He left with a 5-1 lead, but closer Jeurys Familia gave up four runs in a non-save situation and ultimately left with an undeserved win after Curtis Granderson's walk-off homer. The fact that deGrom has been less than himself this season and still holds a 2.81 ERA speaks volumes about just how good he can be when he's on, and he's just starting to round into midseason form.

deGrom allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings, but received no decision Saturday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
deGrom left the contest with a two-run deficit, but the offense bailed him out to take him off the hook for a potential loss. This was the first time this year that he's allowed more than three runs in an outing, and his ERA rose to a season-high 3.07. He'll make his next start Friday against the Dodgers.

DeGrom allowed three runs while striking out three and walking three across 6.1 innings Sunday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Pitching at Coors Field is a rather daunting task these days, but DeGrom was sharp Sunday, tossing his second straight quality start and keeping his team in the game. DeGrom has a shiny 2.50 ERA through six starts, but his K/9 rate sits at a paltry 5.8, down significantly from his 2015 mark of 9.7. Despite his lack of punchouts, DeGrom has been able to achieve success even with a BABIP that is up 4.5% from last year, indicating that better things could be in store as he heads into a cushy matchup versus the Brewers on Saturday.

DeGrom made some progress with his mechanical adjustments, especially after the first inning, allowing two runs in eight innings Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom's elbow has been below his shoulder and his stride has been too far towards first base, resulting in his arm dragging and pitches coming in flat towards the plate. He allowed two runs in the first but was able to incorporate some of the tweaks as the game wore on. DeGrom went through a similar issue last season and fixed it within a few starts. This season, possibly due to his last start and then family issues, he has been unable to fix it that quickly. However, the video work and side sessions he is conducting under the tutelage of pitching coach Dan Warthen should mean the problems get remediated before too long.

DeGrom (3-1) was stuck with his first loss of 2016 after allowing three runs on eight hits in just five innings against the Padres on Thursday. He struck out only two and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year hurler just didn't have it from the beginning, so manager Terry Collins wasn't shy about hitting for him in the top of the sixth. DeGrom was hit hard all evening, including allowing an RBI single to the opposing pitcher, Colin Rea. Consider this nothing more than a bump in the road for deGrom, who'll have a chance to bounce back Tuesday against the Dodgers.

DeGrom improved to 3-0, allowing three runs - none earned - on two hits and four walks while striking out five over six innings against the Giants on Saturday,
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom didn't have his best stuff but benefitted from New York six runs early against Matt Cain. His velocity is still mainly in the 93 mph but was able to hit 95 mph on the gun a few times when needed. Despite an uneven month due to his lat injury and issues with his newborn, deGrom still posted a 1.02 ERA.
