Kennedy (hamstring) is expected to come the disabled list to start Saturday's game, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy got through another side session Wednesday without a hitch, all but clearing the way for him to start Saturday against the Twins. The Royals will wait to see how Kennedy's hamstring feels Thursday, but -- barring any setbacks -- he seems to be in line to make his first start since May 4. If the 32-year-old isn't able to make the start, Chris Young would likely fill in for him again.

Kennedy (hamstring) may return from the disabled list to start Saturday's game against the Twins, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
No timetable for his return had been revealed until now, but it seems like the Royals are happy with how good Kennedy has looked in his side sessions up to this point. The veteran starter still has to get through a bullpen session Wednesday before the club makes an official decision, but things seem to be trending upward for him. If Kennedy is unable to start Saturday, look for Chris Young to fill in for him again.

Manager Ned Yost said that Kennedy (hamstring) would throw his next side session either Sunday or Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy felt some tightness in his hamstring following his first bullpen session Friday, but it isn't believed to be anything out of the ordinary. With the Royals clearing him to throw again days later, it sounds like Kennedy is continuing to progress, but the team has yet to comment on a potential return timetable for the right-hander.

Kennedy (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Friday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander said afterward that he hopes the bullpen will be a big step toward a return from the DL next week. It's uncertain whether Kennedy will need a rehab start before being activated. Although he's still winless, Kennedy was off to a great start before suffering the injury, posting a 3.03 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 31 strikeouts in his first six starts.

Kennedy told manager Ned Yost that his strained right hamstring is improving, but no timetable has been set for his return, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Before landing on the 10-day DL, the right-hander worked his way to an impressive 3.03 ERA and 1.07 WHIP while notching 31 strikeouts over 35.2 innings. The only reason Kennedy's record stands at 0-3 is because the offense provided him MLB's worst run support through his six starts. As it stands, Kennedy has a lot of work to if he plans to return by May 15, the date he's eligible to be activated.

Kennedy was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday after suffering a right hamstring strain in Thursday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Although disappointing, the move doesn't come as much of a surprise. The seriousness of Kennedy's strain is still in question, but it's more than possible the right-hander will need more than the minimum DL stint. In a corresponding move, right-hander Miguel Almonte was called up from Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Kennedy left Thursday's contest early with a grade 1 hamstring strain, Josh Klinger of 610 Sports Radio KCSP reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a tough break for Kennedy, who was forced out of the game in the fifth inning after allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits. The 32-year-old was off to a nice start before suffering the injury, as he had a 2.30 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through his first five starts (31.1 innings). He remains without a timetable for return, but a trip to the DL seems all but certain at this point. Manager Ned Yost said the Royals are still looking at possible options, so more should be known about Kennedy's status come Friday.

Kennedy was removed from Thursday's start with a right medial hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated Friday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to exiting partway through the fifth inning, Kennedy had allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out three. The right-hander had been solid for the Royals prior to this issue, so it's a tough blow for a squad already going through its fair share of struggles. Kennedy's availability for his next start Tuesday against the Rays is unclear at the moment, but more details on that front should emerge once he's examined by team doctors Friday.

Kennedy dealt 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on just two hits and a pair of walks while striking out six in a no-decision Friday versus the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has been phenomenal this year, posting elite-level marks among AL pitchers in ERA (2.30) and WHIP (0.99), while also throwing up an admirable 8.0 K/9. Unfortunately for Kennedy and his owners, he ranks dead last in MLB with 1.4 runs of support per over his first five outings of the campaign. He'll aim to capture his first win when he takes the hill against the White Sox on Thursday.

Kennedy (0-2) pitched seven innings, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out three Rangers in Saturday's no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy's second straight quality start pushed his ERA and WHIP down to 2.08 and 1.04, respectively, over 26 innings. Unfortunately for the right-hander, the Royals have scored a total of three runs over Kennedy's four starts, leaving him with nothing but an 0-2 record and two no-decisions to show for a fine start to the campaign. Minnesota is on tap for Kennedy's next showing Friday at home.
