Kennedy (0-6) pitched six innings, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five in a no-decision Saturday in San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
A nine-run eighth inning saved Kennedy from beginning the campaign 0-7. Even with a favorable matchup against an anemic Padres offense, the veteran couldn't find a way to capture that elusive first win. The 32-year-old's 5.40 ERA is his worst mark for any season with 10-plus starts, and his 49:28 K:BB screams trouble. Kennedy's next chance to chase down a win will be at the Angels on Friday.

Kennedy (0-6) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings during Monday's loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty has now allowed 23 runs over 19.1 innings through his past five starts for a 10.24 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. His 5.63 FIP further highlights his struggles. Kennedy's track record suggests there could be potential for a rebound stretch, but it's probably wise to take a wait-and-see approach in all fantasy settings. A date with San Diego at Petco Park is up next for the 32-year-old veteran.

Kennedy (0-5) lasted just three innings, allowing five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four Tigers in Wednesday's loss.
EDGE Analysis
After an impressive opening month to the season (2.30 ERA), Kennedy's follow-up was a nothing short of a major letdown. The right-hander averaged 3.2 innings while posting an 11.30 ERA over four May starts. His latest month also brought on a hamstring injury that required a short DL stint. Kennedy's looked much different since returning from the ailment, allowing 14 runs on 10 hits (four home runs) and eight walks over just 10 innings (three starts). Needless to say, the 32-year-old will be happy to flip the calendar to June. His first start of the new month won't be easy, though, as Kennedy draws the Astros -- MLB's best team thus far -- on Tuesday.

Kennedy allowed four earned runs on three hits and two walks in a 6-4 win over Cleveland on Friday. He struck out four and didn't factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was removed after just five innings and 88 pitches in this contest. He ran into trouble in the third inning, when he gave up three of his four runs on a pair of singles. It wasn't the sharpest outing for Kennedy, who is still looking for his first win of the season; he'll get another shot at it next Wednesday at home against Detroit.

Manager Ned Yost said he removed Kennedy after two innings Sunday to keep the right-hander an option for Thursday in New York, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dodd also reports that Nathan Karns (elbow) is likely headed to the DL, meaning the Royals will need adjust the rotation for the coming week. Whether Kennedy starts Thursday against the Yankees, or Friday against the Indians, he's got a tough assignment on tap. Over the past three seasons, the 32-year-old has faced off against those teams eight times. Kennedy is 2-5 with a combined 5.94 ERA in those starts. An injury update on Karns is expected early in the next day or two, and news on Kennedy's assignment should quickly follow.

Kennedy allowed five runs on three hits and three walks across just two innings in Sunday's loss to the Twins. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first start in 17 days after recovering from a hamstring injury, Kennedy allowed a pair of two-run home runs in the first inning and another run in the second on an RBI double from Brian Dozier. He was made to pay for each walk he issued in his short time on the mound as all three men came around to score. Kennedy toiled to the tune of 54 pitches to record just six outs, showing obvious signs of rust after missing multiple turns through the rotation. He had enjoyed a strong start to the season prior to the injury, but nine earned runs over his last 6.1 innings has sent his ERA skyward nearly two runs to 4.06. Things will not get any easier as a matchup with the Indians is scheduled for Friday.

Kennedy (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and will start Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The Royals made a flurry of roster moves between games Sunday, activating Kennedy and optioning right-hander Jakob Junis down to Triple-A Omaha in addition to placing Alex Gordon on the paternity list. Kennedy was strong through his first four starts this season, notching a 2.08 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP over 26.0 innings. His performance fell off a bit in his next two outings before landing on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. Kennedy will face a Twins team that ranks 14th in wOBA in May.

Kennedy (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list ahead of the second game of the Royals' doubleheader Sunday with the Twins, Joel Goldberg of FOX Sports Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was initially scheduled to return from the DL to start Saturday, but since that game ended up being postponed due to inclimate weather, he'll simply move back a day. The Royals will need to make a roster move after the first game of the doubleheader concludes in order to formally activate Kennedy. Chris Young will move back to a long-relief role with Kennedy returning to the rotation.

Kennedy (hamstring) will not make his scheduled start Saturday after the game was postponed to Sunday due to weather.
EDGE Analysis
There's no official word from the team, but all signs indicate Kennedy will get his chance to start one of the doubleheader games. The veteran starter, out since May 4 with a right hamstring strain, has been tabbed to rejoin the rotation after being activated from the 10-day DL.

Manager Ned Yost confirmed that Kennedy (hamstring) will start Saturday's game against the Twins, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Kennedy will be activated off the DL to start Saturday opposite pitching prospect Adalberto Mejia. Yost also commented that Kennedy will have his start pushed to Sunday if Saturday's contest is rained out, so his activation seems inevitable no matter what the weather has in store.
