Kennedy (6-7) fanned eight and gave up six hits, three earned runs and three walks over five innings in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy notched 11 swings-and-misses and pitched generally well, but couldn't notch his third victory in four starts. The 31-year-old did post his second-best strikeout total over the last eight trips to the mound, but also gave up a homer for the sixth straight outing. He'll try to get back in the win column next Wednesday versus the Blue Jays.

Kennedy (6-6) allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out 11 over seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy left the contest with the game tied at one, but the Royals' offense came up with five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to get him the victory. This was the first quality start he's thrown in five starts this month, and he has a 3.96 ERA to go along with a 1.18 WHIP. He'll make his next start Friday at the Phillies.

Kennedy (5-6) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts over four innings in a loss Tuesday to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was pitching fine, but with one out and two on in the fifth inning and the Royals trailing by one, Ned Yost decided to go for it and pinch-hit with Kendrys Morales. The decision backfired, as Morales flied out and both runners were stranded, and this loss will likely leave a sour taste for Kennedy as a result. Both his runs allowed came on home runs, and he is lucky to have just a 4.19 ERA considering he has now allowed 18 homers in just 14 starts this season.

Kennedy (5-5) picked up the win against the Indians on Wednesday despite allowing four runs in 6.2 innings. He gave up five hits and two walks while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
It's funny how much a swing or two can change a pitcher's game stats, and a pair of two-run homers by the Indians did just that to Kennedy. Fortunately, he had plenty of offensive support to work with. On the darker side of things, Kennedy has now given up a patently ridiculous eight homers and 16 runs in his last three outings; in this context, his career-long vulnerability to the long ball should have most mixed-league fantasy owners looking away.

Kennedy allowed just one unearned run on three hits and five walks with six strikeouts over six innings Monday against the Rays in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy picked up his first quality start in four outings, dating back to May 7 against Cleveland. The Rays used a patient approach, as they took 63 of his 107 pitches. They weren't able to make much of their few swings, as Kennedy didn't allow an extra-base hit. And he continues to miss bats -- he drew 11 swinging strikes, the seventh time in 10 starts he has gotten double-digit whiffs. He now owns a 3.03 ERA to go with his slick 59:23 K:BB in 59.1 innings.

Kennedy gave up two runs on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts over 3.1 innings in a no-decision Monday over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy's start was interrupted by a rain delay. Although he came out to pitch after the delay, Kennedy said a long inning after the delay in which the Royals scored four runs was a factor in his early exit. He had recovered well from a rough first inning which included a Joe Mauer home run and induced a whopping 13 swinging strikes in just 73 pitches. Given the obstacles Mother Nature threw at Kennedy in this start, it's best not to read too much into it.

Kennedy (4-3) allowed two runs on six hits, struck out nine and walked one over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Even though he didn't get the victory, this was a great bounce back outing after Kennedy allowed seven runs on five hits, including three homers in his last start. His nine strikeouts Wednesday were his most since he punched out 11 in his final outing of 2015. Kennedy now has a 3.24 ERA, 1.123 WHIP and 50 strikeouts in 50 innings. His next start will be Monday against the Twins.

Once a touted prospect in the Yankees' system, Kennedy (4-3) was hammered by his original club for seven runs on five hits over 6.1 innings in Thursday's loss. He walked three and struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy had allowed just three homers in 38 innings coming into the start, but allowed three to the Bronx Bombers on Thursday. Overall, the 31-year-old has found success in his new home. Through seven starts, Kennedy has in quaint 3.25 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. His average fastball (91.7 mph) is the best of his career, and the same can be said for his ability to work out of jams as a full-time starter (76.7). Kennedy draws the league's top offense, the Red Sox, in his next outing on Tuesday in Kansas City.

Kennedy (4-2) continued his strong start to the season, allowing no runs on four hits over seven innings against the Indians on Saturday. He also struck out six and walked two in the victory.
EDGE Analysis
With his start against the Angels being the only outlier, Kennedy has pitched extremely well in his first six outings. He's averaged more than 9.0 K/9 over the last two seasons, and Kennedy is close to that again with 35 punchouts in 38 frames this season. He also has allowed just one run in his last 13 innings. Kennedy will look to keep his hot start going in his next start against the Yankees on Thursday.

Kennedy earned his third win of the season Sunday against Seattle, allowing just one run with six strikeouts and two walks over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was knocked around in his previous start, but he bounced back and was effective Sunday, although his elevated pitch-count truncated what could have been an even better outing. The Red Beard still has an excellent 2.61 ERA and a useful 8.4 K/9 rate on the season, and he will look to keep it rolling Saturday versus Cleveland.
