Marlins activated OF Giancarlo Stanton from the 15-day disabled list. Stanton wound up missing a total of five weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. The 23-year-old slugger had a weak .227/.341/.387 batting line in 20 games before hitting the shelf but is capable of coming alive quickly. He will start in right field on Monday night versus the Brewers and can be activated immediately in fantasy leagues.

Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Monday. The Marlins were considering pushing back his return date at least a day, but with Casey Kotchman (ribs) banged up, it sounds like Stanton will return on Monday. The slugger is hitless in four rehab games, but the Marlins don't care as long as his hamstring is fine. Marcell Ozuna will be moved to center field to accommodate Stanton.

Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) will not activated from the disabled list Monday. Stanton is behind in his rehab assignment due to rainouts and is not expected to be cleared until Tuesday, at the earliest. The Marlins are considering moving Marcell Ozuna to center field once he returns.

Marlins manager Mike Redmond said Friday that Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) could be activated from the disabled list on Monday. The Marlins have been extremely cautious in Stanton's recovery from a strained right hamstring, but he began rehab assignment with High-A Jupiter earlier this week and is hitless over his first six at-bats. Fantasy owners will have to hope that he'll be worth the wait.

Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with High-A Jupiter. Great news for the Marlins and fantasy owners alike. Stanton had to slow down his rehab for a bit last week due to knee soreness, but he ran the bases without incident Monday and is now ready to return to game action as the designated hitter. The Marlins have been cautious with their young slugger, but he could be back in the next week or so if all goes well.

Marlins manager Mike Redmond said Monday that Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) is doing baserunning drills at the team's spring training complex in Jupiter, Florida. Stanton had to back off his rehab program last week due to some soreness in his knees, but it didn't set him back too far. While there's no clear timetable from the team, he could begin a minor league rehab assignment soon if there are no further setbacks. Stanton has been sidelined since the end of April with a hamstring strain.

Giancarlo Stanton took live batting practice Wednesday for the first time since straining his right hamstring. "He looked good," manager Mike Redmond said afterward. "I'm just going off the results. He was hitting them out. It's another encouraging sign that he's a little closer to being back on the field." Stanton has been on the disabled list since April 30 and is still without a timetable. The best guess is that he's activated around mid-June.

Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) could begin jogging sometime next week. That's what Marlins skipper Mike Redmond told reporters on Saturday afternoon. Stanton has been on the disabled list since April 30 with a severe right hamstring strain and is being limited currently to pool workouts. There is no timetable for his return to Miami.

Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) remains limited to running in a pool. There's no timetable for when he might be ready to resume baseball activities. "No baseball activity but he's running in the pool," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said. "I just go by what they tell me. From what I've heard, it's a similar type of strain from what (Casey) Kotchman has. It's taken a while for him. We really don't have a time frame. It just depends on how fast he heals and how fast he feels like he can get back on the field."
