Giancarlo Stanton's three-run double in the third inning on Friday powered the Marlins to a 3-2 victory over the Tigers. The run-scoring drive off Rick Porcello in the third inning was his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but provided enough offense to eek out a victory. He's been a bit of a disappointment during his injury-plagued season, hitting .249/.366/.484 with 24 homers and 61 RBI in 114 games.

Giancarlo Stanton (foot, ankle) returned to the Marlins' starting lineup again on Tuesday. Stanton rolled his ankle earlier this month and was forced to leave Saturday's game after re-aggravating the injury. The Marlins won't hesitate to sit Stanton if he starts feeling pain again, but his return to the lineup is obviously great news for fantasy owners.

Giancarlo Stanton (foot, ankle) is out of the Marlins' starting lineup again on Monday night. Stanton is still battling soreness in his right foot and ankle. X-rays were taken this weekend and came back negative, so he should be ready within a few days. Chris Coghlan is playing right field Monday against the Braves.

Giancarlo Stanton (foot/ankle) is not in the Marlins' lineup Sunday. Stanton suffered an injury to his right foot/ankle last Sunday and then aggravated it Saturday. X-rays have come back clean, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the Marlins decide to rest him for multiple days just to be safe.

Giancarlo Stanton left in the eighth inning of Saturday's game with a sore right foot and ankle. Stanton has been dealing with ankle issues since rolling it last Sunday. "Today, it hurt, I don't know why, more than almost the first day that it happened," Stanton said after the game. X-rays on the foot and ankle came back negative and he's being considered day-to-day. He'll probably be given the day off on Sunday as a precaution, but it doesn't seem like the kind of thing that will force him to miss any significant amount of time.
