The Miami Herald's Clark Spencer reports that the Marlins didn't receive a trade offer from the Pirates for Giancarlo Stanton. Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review previously reported that the Pirates made a "significant offer" for Stanton that "caught the attention of the Marlins' front office." Spencer is saying that didn't happen, though he did add that the Fish received many offers for the outfielder. If he does ever go on the block, there will no doubt be a bevy of teams that try to put together a package for him.
