Tillman (shoulder) threw on flat ground Thursday and remains on track to start Saturday's game against the Astros, Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was reported earlier in the week that Tillman would likely return Saturday, and Thursday's news only adds more credence to that notion. Barring some sort of setback, expect to see Tillman back on the mound Saturday in what will be his first start since August 11. The right-hander holds a 3.58 ERA since the All-Star break.

Tillman (shoulder) plans to start Saturday against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman felt shoulder soreness after his last outing August 11, a seven inning and 108 pitch victory over the Athletics. Although Baltimore will be careful with their righty, the tentative plan is for him to start Saturday versus Huston. Since the All-Star break, Tillman is 3-2 with a 3.58 ERA.

Tillman is dealing with shoulder discomfort and his next start has been pushed to Saturday against the Astros, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was scheduled to start Wednesday against the Red Sox, but instead the Orioles will take advantage of Monday's off day to move everyone else up a day, allowing Tillman to have a few days to try to get his shoulder right. The schedule tweak doesn't guarantee he will be able to take the mound Saturday, especially given the nature of the ailment. Dylan Bundy will start Wednesday's game with Kevin Gausman and Wade Miley starting Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Tillman allowed two runs on five hits while striking out four over seven innings in a win over the A's on Thursday. He did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's brilliant season continued Thursday, with his lone blemish coming in the fifth inning on a two-run homer from Ryon Healy. The peripherals suggest Tillman is pitching above his head a bit, but he's been a top-15 pitcher in the American League in terms of earned fantasy value to this point. It will be tough to justify benching him next week even with the Red Sox due up.

Tillman (14-3) was knocked around by the Rockies in Tuesday's start, surrendering six runs on nine hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was looking for what would have been a major league best 15th win in Tuesday's start, but was denied by the Rockies' offense. While Tillman entered the game with a less than stellar 108:48 K:BB ratio, control was not his problem, as he threw an impressive 64 out of 89 pitches for strikes. Tillman avoided giving up a home run, but allowed Rockies hitters to string together singles and doubles in the third and fifth innings, thus the six earned runs. He'll look to continue to keep the ball in the yard and in the strike zone while scattering hits next time in Toronto on Sunday.

Tillman (14-2) dished seven innings of one-run ball, scattering four hits and two walks while striking out seven Yankees in Thursday's win.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman's renaissance continued with his fourth straight win, all of which (strangely) just so happen to share the same stat line of seven innings and one run allowed. Baltimore improved to 10-0 against the AL East in games that the right-hander has started, which bodes well for Tillman considering a majority of starts come versus divisional opponents. Playing in his eighth MLB season, the 28-year-old sits just two wins away from tying his career high set back in 2013. After falling flat under the pressure of big expectations in 2015, Tillman has rebounded enormously and is well on his way to the best campaign of his career.

Tillman (13-2) gave up only one earned run on four hits and three walks over seven innings in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Rays. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander just keeps rolling along, notching his third straight win with a third consecutive seven-inning, one-run effort. Tillman has been especially sharp in July, lowering his ERA from 3.55 to 3.29 and now matching the second-best victory total of his career. The 28-year-old will look to continue his stellar run when he takes on the Yankees next Thursday.

Tillman (12-2) gave up just one run on three hits and five walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out five, to pick up the win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
His record is outstanding but Tillman's performances have wobbled a bit lately, and he has a 5.02 ERA and 16:12 K:BB in 28.2 innings over his last five starts. The Orioles' offense has still allowed him to win three of those five starts, but he could have trouble duplicating his first half numbers after the All-Star break if his strikeouts continue to decline.

Tillman (11-2) allowed one run on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts over seven innings in a win Tuesday over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman has been relying on the ground ball more than usual this season, with a career high 1.3 GB/FB entering Tuesday's start. He induced 10 groundouts Tuesday, a key to his success on a night in which he wasn't able to miss Dodgers bats (six swinging strikes in 100 pitches). If he can keep that up, expect his 1.3 HR/9 to drop, and his 3.55 ERA to keep trending downward as well.

Tillman (10-2) lasted only 4.2 innings in the Orioles' 5-3 loss to the Mariners on Thursday, surrendering six hits, four earned runs and three walks. He also struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the stellar record coming in to the game, Tillman had not pitched very well over his prior two starts, and the trouble continued to an extent versus the Mariners. He labored through 112 pitches over his relatively brief time on the mound, and the outing marked his third straight with at least four earned runs surrendered. He also gave up a homer for the eighth time in the last nine starts when Seth Smith took him deep in the fifth, and he issued multiple free passes for the third time in the last four contests. The 28-year-old will try to bounce back versus the Dodgers next Tuesday.
