Tillman (14-3) was knocked around by the Rockies in Tuesday's start, surrendering six runs on nine hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was looking for what would have been a major league best 15th win in Tuesday's start, but was denied by the Rockies' offense. While Tillman entered the game with a less than stellar 108:48 K:BB ratio, control was not his problem, as he threw an impressive 64 out of 89 pitches for strikes. Tillman avoided giving up a home run, but allowed Rockies hitters to string together singles and doubles in the third and fifth innings, thus the six earned runs. He'll look to continue to keep the ball in the yard and in the strike zone while scattering hits next time in Toronto on Sunday.
