Tillman (shoulder) said he felt good Wednesday after his most recent session throwing on flat ground, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
The plan calls for Tillman to throw off elevated ground sometime this weekend. Manager Buck Showalter recently said he doesn't expect the right-hander to rejoin the rotation until mid-September, at the earliest. Baltimore likely will continue with the cautious approach to his rehab.

Tillman (shoulder) plans to throw off a mound this weekend, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Buck Showalter said that the earliest potential date for Tillman to return would be September 9. However, he doesn't think that's likely to happen, so a mid-September return for Tillman seems more realistic. A more specific date will likely be known after his workouts in the coming days.

Tillman (shoulder) threw on flat ground Monday and reported no issues afterward, CSN's Rich Dubroff reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not yet clear when Tillman will be ready to return to the Orioles, but his recovery is going as planned. With him making it through Monday's session without a setback, he will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and could be ready for a rehab assignment after that.

Tillman (shoulder) feels well enough to bump up his throwing to Monday, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman was scheduled to throw on flat ground either Monday or Tuesday, but he and the team are confident enough to take that step at the earlier of the two options. If all goes well, Tillman's next step will be to face live hitters before a return date can be accurately estimated.

Tillman (shoulder) will throw on flat ground either Monday or Tuesday, Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Buck Showalter indicated he'd have a good idea of a timeline once Tillman was able to get throw next week's throwing session. The team's ace is dealing with a case of shoulder bursitis, but the fact that he'll be able to throw less than a week after landing on the disabled list indicates that the setback could be a fairly minor one. If healthy, Tillman will be eligible to be activated the first week of September.

Tillman (shoulder) was officially placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday retroactive to Aug. 21.
EDGE Analysis
Baltimore's ace has been dealing with a shoulder ailment since his Aug. 11 start against the A's. His next turn in the rotation was pushed back a few days due to some shoulder discomfort, but the added rest did not help as he was shelled by the Astros on Saturday to the tune of six earned runs over two-plus innings. The Orioles have diagnosed him with shoulder bursitis, and there's no firm timetable for his return. Given that his placement on the DL is retroactive to Aug. 21, he could return in the first week of September if his shoulder is healed.

Tillman (shoulder) will be placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
His shot at 20 wins now seems out the window after Tillman developed some shoulder inflammation after his last start, which may necessitate a cortisone shot and subsequent shutdown period. Regardless of whether or not that treatment is necessary, Tillman is going on the DL and will not be eligible to return until Sept. 5, meaning the Orioles will have to turn back to Ubaldo Jimenez to fill a rotation spot for the time being.

Tillman (shoulder) is likely headed to the DL, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
He may receive a cortisone shot in the shoulder, as he is dealing with the same discomfort he had prior to starting Saturday and then leaving after he was ineffective over two innings. The move will be backdated to Aug. 20, so Tillman would be able to come off the DL on Sept. 5 to start at Tampa Bay if the 15 days of rest proves to be a satisfactory remedy for his shoulder soreness. The Orioles don't have a quality option to step into the fifth spot in the rotation, and Ubaldo Jimenez might get the first crack in Washington on Thursday.

Tillman is experiencing shoulder soreness and may not pitch Thursday against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tillman is 15-5 with a 3.76 ERA and 1.27 WHIP for the year, but has struggled in recent outings. Over his last three starts, Tillman has allowed 11 runs across 15 innings while walking seven batters and striking out just eight. Information regarding Tillman's Thursday start should be known Wednesday.

Tillman (15-5) (shoulder) gave up six earned runs on six hits and five walks over two-plus innings in Saturday's 12-2 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty didn't have it Saturday, getting into early trouble and going downhill fast from that point. He surrendered a two-run homer to the second hitter he faced, Alex Bregman, and then alllowed an RBI double to Jason Castro and run-scoring infield single to Jose Altuve in the second. Tillman was yanked following a bases-loaded walk of Castro in the third, and was also charged with the RBI groundout that Odrisamer Despaigne gave up to Tony Kemp later in the frame. The unusually poor outing may have been at least partly due to the sore shoulder Tillman had complained about after his last start, and his health thus will have to be closely monitored following Saturday's debacle.
