Chris Davis (oblique) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as Sunday.
Davis went 1-for-4 with a single in a rehab game with Double-A Bowie Saturday and played all nine innings at first base. He told reporters after the game that he was ready to go. Assuming Davis doesn't report any ill after effects Sunday, he should be activated.

Chris Davis (oblique) will begin his minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie on Saturday.
He's on track to return to the Orioles lineup early next week barring any setbacks. Before landing on the disabled list, the hulking first baseman slashed .250/.372/.382 with a pair of homers and 13 RBI in his first 22 contests.

Chris Davis (oblique) could begin a rehab assignment on Saturday.
It's not clear which affiliate he'll be assigned to, but Davis will be cleared for game action assuming he gets through batting practice Friday with no issues (and BP isn't rained out, which Orioles manager Buck Showalter is worried about). The first baseman is in line to be activated early next week. "He's going to take regular BP tomorrow on the field off a coach, and if that goes well, and he comes in Saturday feeling good, we could potentially do that," Showalter said Thursday of sending Davis on a rehab assignment. "That's what we're thinking."

Chris Davis (oblique) could field some ground balls Sunday and take some swings within the next few days.
Davis had a light workout Saturday and said it's the first day since landing on the DL that he hasn't felt any pain in his oblique. The first baseman is eligible to return on May 11, and while it's too early to say whether he might be ready at that time, his progress is encouraging.

Chris Davis was given a cortisone injection for his strained left oblique.
Davis plans to travel with the team to Minnesota and Tampa Bay while he's on the disabled list. Oblique injuries can be tricky, so he's no sure thing to be ready when he's first eligible.

Orioles placed 1B Chris Davis on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 26, with a strained left oblique.
Davis was injured during Friday's game. The Orioles are hopeful that he'll be ready when his 15 days are up but concede that it's unlikely to be the case. The club will mix and match at first base while he's out.
