Davis went 1-for-2 with a home run, an RBI, a run scored, a walk and a strikeout in the Orioles' 2-1 win over the Mariners on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

It was nice to see Davis contribute towards the win as the left-handed slugger will soon be moving past what was a season to forget. On the bright side, Davis has gotten a hit in back-to-back games after going hitless in his prior three outings. The 33-year-old is now slashing .176/.268/.315 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI across 336 plate appearances. Davis isn't a regular starter but should figure to draw at least one more in the team's final six games of the season.

Davis went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run Sunday in the Orioles' 13-7 loss to the Red Sox.

EDGE Analysis

Davis turned in some quality plate appearances in the series finale, but one positive game won't be enough to override what has been another disastrous campaign for the veteran. The former slugger is slashing .179/.270/.312 on the season and hasn't shown any demonstrable progress in August, as he's opened the month with a .624 OPS and 38.1 percent strikeout rate. Per Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, Davis is out of the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Royals, marking the fourth time in six games he'll be on the bench.

Davis is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Davis made an early exit from Wednesday's contest as he had to be restrained from going after manager Brandon Hyde in the dugout, but he likely would have been on the bench regardless Friday since southpaw Wade Miley is pitching for Houston. According to Dan Connolly of The Athletic, Davis said he's cleared the air with his manager, and it sounds as though he'll retain his usual role versus right-handed pitching. The 33-year-old is currently mired in a 4-for-33 slump over his last 14 games.

Davis is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Davis has hit .125/.256/.313 over his last 13 games, though that's not a whole lot worse than his .183/.270/.321 season slash line. Renato Nunez will play first base in his absence.

Davis went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

EDGE Analysis

His seventh-inning blast was too little too late for the O's, but it was Davis' ninth home run of the season and the 250th of his career in a Baltimore uniform. There may not be too many more left in the tank for the 33-year-old, though -- he's slashing a woeful .188/.267/.331, and only the fact that he still has three years and $51 million left on his contract after 2019 has kept him in the lineup.

Davis went 1-for-5 with a tie-breaking solo homer in an 8-5 victory over the Padres on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Davis struck out in his first three plate appearances, but lifted one over the wall in center field off Matt Strahm in the eighth inning to break a 5-5 tie. It was his first home run off a left-handed pitcher this season. For the season, Davis sports a disappointing .181/.260/.315 slash line with 27 RBI in 232 at-bats.

Davis is not in the lineup Monday against the Padres, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Davis finds himself on the bench for a fourth straight game as Renato Nunez picks up a start at first base with no DH spot available in San Diego's ballpark. The veteran first baseman is slashing just .181/.262/.305 on the season -- and .204/.293/.359 against right-handers -- so he could continue to see his role diminish over the final two months of the season as the Orioles look to give their younger options more playing time.

Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Davis will sit for the third time during the four-game series in Anaheim, even though the Angels are bringing a right-handed starter (Felix Pena) to the hill for the finale. The platoon advantage hasn't been all that favorable for Davis this season, as he's slashing just .204/.293/.359 (72 wRC+) across 205 plate appearances versus right-handers. The Orioles could look to downsize Davis' role over the final two months of the season in order to open up playing time for younger options.

EDGE Analysis

Davis will take a seat on the bench Saturday with left-hander Dillon Peters starting for Los Angeles. In his place, Renato Nunez is starting at first base and hitting third.

Davis is not in the lineup Thursday against the Angels, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

As per usual, Davis will retreat to the bench for Thursday's series opener with a left-hander in Jose Suarez tabbed to start for the opposition. In his place, Trey Mancini is starting at first base and hitting second.
