Gonzalez exited Thursday's game with what's been deemed a left ankle sprain and doesn't believe he will miss any time.
EDGE Analysis
Certainly the best-case scenario for Gonzalez, it appears he should miss minimal (if any) time because of the issue. However, a night's rest could lead to some inflammation, so it's best for owners to check back Thursday to ensure the star outfielder is in the lineup for the series finale against the Dodgers.

Manager Walt Weiss indicated after Wednesday's game that the initial prognosis on Gonzalez's ankle is "pretty positive," Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez appeared to turn his ankle badly on a swing in his at-bat during the seventh inning, but the initial signs point towards minimal time missed. However, Weiss just forwarded what he hear "through the grapevine," meaning it can't be guaranteed at this point. A more definite diagnosis should arrive in the coming days, and Gonzalez's status should be updated again prior to Thursday's series finale against the Dodgers.

Gonzalez was helped off the field after turning his ankle during an at-bat in the seventh inning of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Drew Spevak of Denver Sports 760 reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like a bad turn of the ankle, but the team will likely send him for X-rays and possibly an MRI to determine the extent of the issue. Having officially lost Trevor Story (thumb) for the season just Tuesday, the Rockies could be down another huge bat if it turns out to be a serious issue. Gerardo Parra (ankle) is currently on a rehab assignment, and could be a candidate to join the roster should Gonzalez require a stint on the DL, but David Dahl and Ryan Rayburn should be in the mix as well.

Gonzalez went 3-for-5 and drove in four runs in a win Tuesday over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez extended his hitting streak to 14 games with the effort. This was his first three-hit game in the streak, and included two doubles, his 26th and 27th of the season. His OPS is up to .928, which would be his best mark since 2013.

Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer, his 21st of the year, in Friday's victory over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder is slashing a ridiculous .317/.369/.549 through 388 at-bats this season. After being slowed by injuries in two of his last three campaigns, Gonzalez has been healthy for all of 2016 and is on pace to hit 30-plus home runs, notch 100-plus RBI and score 100-plus runs, a feat he's accomplished just once in his eight previous MLB seasons.

Gonzalez socked his 20th homer of the season and drew a walk as part of a 1-for-3 effort with two strikeouts against the Braves on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Coors Field isn't generally a place where you see many three-true-outcomes hitting lines -- there's just too much room to hit the ball -- but CarGo gave us one here. He's now reached 20 homers in six separate seasons and seems quite likely to exceed 30 for the third time this year, assuming his health holds up. That hasn't been a problem so far, but the veteran slugger certainly has a checkered injury history.

Gonzalez is not in the Rockies starting lineup on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
It looks to be just a routine day off for Gonzalez, who has been rumored to be on the trade block for the Rockies. Ryan Raburn will get the start in left field for Colorado as they take on left-hander Blake Snell and the Rays. Expect Gonzalez to be back in the lineup on Wednesday as they take on Chris Archer at Coors Field.

Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging outfielder was one of the few bright spots on the afternoon for the Rockies, going deep off reliever Hector Neris with a mammoth 475-foot blast in the eighth. Unfortunately, the homer came after Colorado was already on the wrong end of a 10-2 deficit. However, it was Gonzalez's first homer in 10 July games after closing out June with three round-trippers over the month's final four contests.

Gonzalez homered, knocked in five runs, and scored twice in a 4-for-5 game Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez is an absurd 10-for-17 with three homers, four doubles and 12 RBI over his past four games. He is finally starting to look like his old self again, as his .959 OPS would be his highest since he finished third in MVP voting in 2010, and one point better than his most recent All-Star campaign of 2013. With 51 RBI through 77 team games, Gonzalez is on pace for his first 100 RBI season since 2010.

Gonzalez homered, scored twice and drove in three runs in Monday's win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez now has a five-game hitting streak and homers in consecutive games. He now has seven home runs and 24 RBI and owns an OPS over 1.000 in June as he has raise his batting line from an already solid .312/.354/.533 at the end of May to an excellent .321/.367/.572 after Monday's effort.
