Gonzalez (ankle) hit a three-run double in a pinch-hit appearance Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The bases-clearing double broke a 9-9 tie in the top of the eighth inning and extended Gonzalez's hitting streak to 18 games. He was on the bench again due to an ankle injury, his third straight absence from the lineup, but his swelling is reportedly down and that bodes well for his chances of returning this weekend, if not Friday.

Gonzalez (ankle) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers, ROOT Sports' Jenny Cavnar reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Walt Weiss said Wednesday that Gonzalez's ankle is doing much better and some of the swelling is gone, confirming that the outfielder is day-to-day. Gerardo Parra is starting in right field and batting seventh Wednesday. It sounds like there is a good chance Gonzalez will be back by the end of the week.

Manager Walt Weiss told MLB Network Radio on Wednesday that Gonzalez (ankle) is doing "much better, some of the swelling is gone, he's definitely day-to-day but it shouldn't be much longer."
EDGE Analysis
This is good news for Gonzalez and his owners, as it sounds like Gonzalez could be back in the coming days. Weiss' phrasing makes it seem as though Gonzalez will likely be held out Wednesday against the Rangers, but it's worth checking back closer to game time to see if he is in the lineup against southpaw Martin Perez.

Gonzalez (ankle) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez was lifted from Monday's game after apparently aggravating the ankle injury that plagued him last week. The team hasn't offered much in terms of details, but Gonzalez said Monday night that he'll attempt to play through the discomfort. While he could be available as a pinch hitter Tuesday, Gonzalez will not start, as the Rockies go with Gerardo Parra in right field.

Gonzalez left Monday's game against Texas with an apparent injury to his left ankle, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez had homered twice and knocked in three runs before appearing to re-injure the ankle on a groundout in the seventh inning. He was held out Thursday and Sunday to rest the joint after spraining it on Wednesday but has said he will attempt to play through the pain. He reiterated as much to reporters Monday night, but we'll have to wait for further examination. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Gonzalez is out of Sunday's lineup against the Marlins, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies will opt to start Gerardo Parra in right field and give Gonzalez the day off to rest his ankle. Although it's feeling much better, the team wants to be careful with their 30-year-old slugger. Gonzalez will likely return to the lineup for Monday night's game against Cole Hamels and the Rangers.

Gonzalez (ankle) is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins, batting third and starting in right field.
EDGE Analysis
The star slugger sat out of Thursday's contest after spraining his ankle the previous night, but he was able to get some cage work in during the game in the event he was needed as a pinch-hitter. The full day off proved to be enough time for his ankle to heal, so he's back in the lineup Friday. He'll be batting third in the order Friday, a slight change from his usual role as the cleanup hitter.

Gonzalez (ankle) hopes to return to the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Marlins, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Saunders, Gonzalez took some swings in the batting cage during Thursday's game so that he could be an option off the bench as a pinch hitter. While he did not end up entering Thursday's contest, it's encouraging nonetheless that he was able to get some cage work in just one day removed from spraining his ankle. Full confirmation on Gonzalez's status will be made available when the Rockies release their lineup Friday afternoon.

Gonzalez (ankle) is out of the lineup Thursday against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez exited Wednesday's game with an ankle sprain but while it's not considered serious, he'll miss Thursday's game as a precaution. The 30-year-old will likely return to the lineup in the coming days where he'll resume a 15-game hit streak. He's slashing .357/.413/.714 with 12 runs and 20 RBI during that time.
