Gonzalez was helped off the field after turning his ankle during an at-bat in the seventh inning of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Drew Spevak of Denver Sports 760 reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like a bad turn of the ankle, but the team will likely send him for X-rays and possibly an MRI to determine the extent of the issue. Having officially lost Trevor Story (thumb) for the season just Tuesday, the Rockies could be down another huge bat if it turns out to be a serious issue. Gerardo Parra (ankle) is currently on a rehab assignment, and could be a candidate to join the roster should Gonzalez require a stint on the DL, but David Dahl and Ryan Rayburn should be in the mix as well.
