Updating a previous report, Wilson will not be a healthy scratch Thursday against the Senators, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. After skating as an extra at the Capitals' morning session, Wilson appeared to be bound for the press box. Instead, it appears coach Barry Trotz had a change of heart in the afternoon, as Wilson will in fact be in the lineup, replacing Michael Latta on the fourth trio. Though he remains active, Wilson's waning production (no goals, two assists over last 21 games) won't endear him to many fantasy players.

Wilson will likely serve as a healthy scratch Thursday against the Senators, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson didn't participate in Thursday's morning skate as a member of a regular line, suggesting he'll be sitting for the first time since Dec. 23. Michael Latta reenters the lineup in Wilson's place.

Wilson registered an assist and two PIM in Tuesday's shootout loss to the Oilers. Wilson hasn't played on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Niklas Backstrom since January, which has unsurprisingly resulted in a huge downgrade in productivity offensively. The 20-year-old offers some needed physicality for the Capitals on the fourth line, but outside of specialty formats, there's not much fantasy upside in that role.

Wilson will return to the lineup when the Capitals visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night, Alex Prewitt of The Washington Post reports. Wilson was scratched for Washington's previous game and had been benched for long stretches of play in the contests immediately prior. Wilson is expected to return alongside Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom on the top line, so if he can find his scoring touch again, the former Plymouth Whaler will be worth owning across fantasy formats. Needless to say, he may be on a short leash with Trotz after posting only four assists in 10 games during the month of December. Lucky for Wilson, no one has outplayed him for the coveted spot alongside Washington's superstars, so the door remains open for the former 16th overall pick.

Wilson will serve as a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Rangers. Wilson will head to the press box for non-injury purposes for the first time in his career, as he drops all the way from the top line to healthy scratch status. The development was in the works after Wilson saw his time on the top trio highly limited in Monday's win over Ottawa, with coach Barry Trotz suggesting that the young winger was turning the puck over too frequently. Andre Burakovsky will replace Wilson in Tuesday's lineup, while Eric Fehr gets the much-desired move to the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.

Wilson was benched more much of the Capitals' 2-1 victory over Ottawa on Monday night, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports. This marks the second straight game that Wilson has been removed from the top line, missing out on playing time with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. His ice time is down in the last two games as a result, and he is a source of frustration for head coach Barry Trotz, who commented after the game that "too many pucks are dying with Tom right now. Too many turnovers for me...[Tom] is going to miss some shifts here and there...". Wilson has just four points (all assists) in 10 games this month, and is in danger of losing his coveted position alongside Ovechkin and Backstrom. Keep an eye on his ice time moving forward, as solid hits and penalty minute totals may not be enough to keep the 20-year-old Toronto native fantasy relevant in most leagues.

Wilson captured two assists and spent five minutes in the penalty box in Saturday's win over the Lightning. Wilson has accrued an assist in three of his last four games, which looks to be enough to justify his stay on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom until further notice. His willingness to both drop the gloves while still remaining active offensively probably makes him deserving of more ownership in fantasy leagues.

Wilson picked up an assist and spent four minutes in the penalty box in Tuesday's game against the Lightning. Wilson is still skating for the Capitals in a top-line role, but with under 14 minutes of ice time in each of the last three games, coach Barry Trotz might be leaning toward reconsidering that deployment. Though he has assists in consecutive games, Wilson hasn't been scoring with much frequency of late. He's at least made up for it by averaging 3.24 PIM per game, tops among players who have suited up for at least 15 games.

Wilson (lower body) saw 15:16 of ice time in Saturday's loss to the Blues. After missing the Caps' previous two games, Wilson entered the contest as a game-time decision, but ended up seeing a relatively normal amount of ice time. Though he didn't record any points and finished with a minus-2 rating on the evening, he did produce seven penalty minutes and six hits to give some value to those who own him in specialty formats.

Wilson will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Blues. Wilson will participate in pregame warmups before the team decides whether or not he'll suit up in the contest. He's missed the previous two games with the lower-body injury.
