Coach Barry Trotz said that Wilson (lower body) has been ruled out from playing Friday against the Devils, but remains a possible option for Saturday's game against the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Trotz indicated that while Wilson is recovering well from the injury, he didn't feel comfortable with using the forward in back-to-back games. Though he's miss his third straight game, there's a good chance he'll slot back in on the Caps' top line Saturday if he can make it through the morning skate without incident.

Coach Barry Trotz upgraded Wilson to questionable for Friday's game against the Devils, but the forward is still considered more likely to make his return to the lineup Saturday versus the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. The Capitals seemed to initially rule Wilson out entirely for Friday after he was limited to skating on his own the last few days, but his participation in practice in a non-contact capacity Thursday morning seems to have improved his outlook. Wilson acknowledged that while he was closing in on 100 percent health, it still seems more likely that the Capitals will hold him out to Saturday, just so he's not overextending himself by playing back-to-back nights right away coming off the injury.

Wilson (lower body) is hoping to return to the lineup Saturday against the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson was able to skate for the second straight day, but his lack of participation during practice will probably preclude him from playing in the final game of the Caps' homestand Friday against the Devils. Instead, he'll travel with the team for its three-game road trip, and could be available as soon as Saturday night if he's able to skate earlier that day without any setbacks.

Wilson (lower body) didn't practice Wednesday, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Both Wilson and fellow injured forward Brooks Laich were able to take to the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, but the absence of both from practice Wednesday would seem to suggest neither has been cleared for contact just yet. The Capitals won't play their next game until Friday against the Devils, giving Wilson another day to potentially practice and state his case for a return to game action.

Wilson (lower body) will not play Tuesday against the Blue Jackets, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson was on the ice for morning skate Tuesday, but was limited to non-contact work and didn't skate on a regular line. On a more fortunate note, coach Barry Trotz did seem optimistic that Wilson would be a lineup option on Friday against the Devils if he remains on schedule with his recovery from the injury.

Wilson (lower body) did not participate in Monday's practice, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson left Saturday's game after pulling up on the forecheck, and is still feeling sore. Consider him a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup with the Blue Jackets until we hear more.

Wilson left the ice with an apparent injury early in the second period with an apparent injury, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports. Wilson pulled up grimacing while back checking early in the second period and went straight to the locker room. Having been recently been promoted to the team's top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, Wilson was emerging as a sleeper across all fantasy formats with two goals and an assist in his last three games.

Wilson skated with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom on the team's top line during Tuesday's practice, Alex Prewitt of The Washington Post reports. Wilson found his way onto the line during Washington's 6-3 loss to Arizona on Sunday night and recorded two points, and head coach Barry Trotz appears to let the trio play together again as the Capitals look to snap a four game losing streak against the Flames on Tuesday. Needless to say, should the former Plymouth Whaler stick with such offensively gifted linemates, his fantasy value would skyrocket. Wilson may be worth a speculative add at this point as the situation warrants close monitoring.

Wilson added a goal and an assist in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Coyotes. Wilson recorded his first points of the season in his third game since being recalled from the AHL. He may continue to see a decent amount of ice time, as he logged over 15 minutes on Sunday, but he likely won't tally too many points.

Wilson (ankle) has been recalled from Hershey. He'll replace Chris Brown on the Caps' roster. Wilson figures to fill a depth role in Washington again this season, likely shuffling around in the team's bottom-six forward ranks.
