Wilson (head) was on the ice for part of Monday's practice, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson left the ice after about 30 minutes, but per the report, his exit was part of the Caps' training staff's scheduled plan for him, rather than an indication of a setback. In any case, Wilson's status for Wednesday's game against the Islanders has yet to be clarified.

Wilson (head) will resume skating with the Capitals on Saturday morning, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Wilson didn't take part in Friday's practice, so it appears unlikely that the Capitals will sign off on his return for a mostly meaningless season finale against the Rangers. The winger is likely aiming to be ready for the Capitals' first playoff game next week.

Wilson wasn't present for the Capitals' morning skate and looks to be out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bruins, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Though coach Barry Trotz previously indicated Wilson was free of any concussion symptoms, the winger's absence from Wednesday's practice suggests he might not be out of the woods yet. He'll be viewed as day-to-day for the time being, but will need to resume skating over the next two days to have a shot at playing in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Rangers.

Wilson, who was struck on his head by a puck on Sunday, is said to be symptom-free, having so far having passed all his concussion tests, the Washington Post reports. Though Wilson appears to have avoided a serious injury here, his status for Wednesday's game against the Bruins remains cloudy. "They did all the protocol tests," coach Barry Trotz noted Tuesday. "We're going to be 100 percent sure and there's no timeframe. At this point, he feels fine. He could take the morning skate and he could be ready to go. He really could. But we'll be 100 percent sure. There's no risk. We're not going to put our player or our organization at any risk for playing a player that shouldn't be in there. We'll see where he is tomorrow and go from there."

Wilson (upper body) skated before Tuesday's practice, Alex Prewitt of The Washington Post reports. Wilson left Sunday's game against Detroit to be evaluated for a concussion, and he's unsurprisingly now listed with an upper-body injury. The Capitals recalled Stanislav Galiev from AHL Hershey on an emergency basis Tuesday, indicating that Wilson and/or Eric Fehr is in danger of missing Wednesday's game against the Bruins.

Wilson recorded an assist in Washington's 4-2 win over Carolina on Tuesday. Back on the fourth line, The assist broke a six-game scoring drought for the pugnacious power forward, who is back on the fourth line after a brief, albeit recurring, stint on the top line with Alex Ovechkin. Alongside Michael Latta and Curtis Glencross, his fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues that count hits and penalty minutes unless his role grows over the next few games.

Wilson netted an assist on Brooks Laich's goal in Washington's 6-1 victory over Buffalo on Saturday. Wilson skated on the fourth line with the aforementioned Laich and the talented Evgeny Kuznetsov. While Kuznetsov is a more talented playmaker than is conventional for an "energy line", Wilson's fantasy prospects for this season remain limited as long as he's out of the top-six picture -- even if he does have two points in his last three games.

Wilson netted a goal and 17 penalty minutes in Washington's 5-3 win over Columbus on Tuesday. Aside from his second goal in the last five games, Wilson was again at the center of attention when it comes to physical play, as he fought Blue Jackets heavyweight Jared Boll following a heavy hit that knocked teammate Michael Latta from the game. While Wilson may get more looks at the revolving door of right wing alongside Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, the situation is too fluid an unpredictable to start Wilson on every night, unless you are in a league that counts hits and penalty minutes. The situation continues to bear monitoring.

Wilson scored his third goal of the season in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Flyers.Wilson has struggled mightily to work his way onto the scoresheet this season as the goal was his first since Nov. 29, spanning a stretch of 34 games for the young winger. The three goals match his total output from last season, but with just 13 points the 20-year-old doesn't offer much value to owners in standard formats.
