Wilson scored a goal and had two shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Canucks
EDGE Analysis
Wilson also finished with a plus-2 rating and three hits with a season-high 16:25 of ice time since being moved on the second line with Marcus Johansson and Evgeny Kuznetsov. If he can remain in such a prominent role, the 22-year-old power forward should see a significant boost to his fantasy value in standard formats and daily leagues.

Wilson was practicing on the second line with Marcus Johansson and Evgeny Kuznetsov on Friday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports
EDGE Analysis
If the assignment holds up, Wilson will make his debut in Washington's top-six, as the Capitals are looking to shake things up following back-to-back regulation losses. Needless to say, the power forward's value goes up with this development and he's worth keeping an eye on in standard and daily fantasy formats for the time being.

Wilson (upper body) will be in the lineup Sunday against the Islanders, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rugged winger had been out of action since being injured in Washington's first preseason game against Montreal. With so much depth on the wings, it's hard to say exactly where the 22-year-old power forward will slot into the lineup, although he is almost assured a bottom-six role. Still, his contributions in peripheral stats like hits and penalty minutes should not be overlooked, as he is one of the league's premier pugilists. He is definitely worth a look in leagues that count such contributions, but his value in standard leagues will remain limited until he can carve out a more meaningful offensive role.

Wilson (upper-body) expects to play in the Capitals final preseason game Sunday against the Islanders, Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson sustained the injury on a hit during Washington's preseason opener against Carolina but has returned to practice and reportedly said he felt "healthy" following contact drills Saturday. The 22-year-old will likely find his role on a third-line with Lars Eller and Andre Burakovsky during Sunday's final tuneup.

Wilson (upper body) will be sidelined for Wednesday's preseason contest against the Blues, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson's injury was originally downplayed, but he continues to sit out with the regular season right around the corner. Although he won't put up top-six numbers, the winger should factor into the scoring and should be a solid late-round, discount fantasy option. If he is unable to go for Opening Night, Stanislav Galiev is the most likely option to slide up to the third line.

Wilson (upper body) will not be in the lineup fo Monday's preseason game against the Blues, Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson has undergone limited contact at practice within the last week, and while he won't play Monday, he's expected to be on the ice for morning skate Monday. It's unclear what the timetable looks like the winger but it will become more concerning if he's still ailing as the regular season draws closer.

Wilson (upper body) was held out of Tuesday's practice, Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
The precautionary measure was taken after Wilson injured himself in Monday's 2-1 OT loss to Carolina. The injury to the 22-year-old power forward does not appear to be serious, but monitor the situation as training camp unfolds.

Wilson suffered an upper-body injury during Monday's exhibition game against Carolina, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Associate coach Todd Reirden downplayed the severity of the injury following Monday's game, but Wilson will be reevaluated Tuesday just in case. With the regular season still nearly two weeks away, there doesn't seem to be much reason to believe Wilson will have any trouble taking the ice when it matters on Oct. 13 against the Penguins.

Wilson was signed to a two-year, $4 million extension Thursday, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson had his most productive season with the Capitals with seven goals and 23 points in all 82 games. The rugged winger added 163 penalty minutes and 253 hits as well while logging 12:55 of ice time per game. With the addition of Lars Eller, Wilson should continue to have an impact in deeper leagues that recognize his fighting and hitting prowess in 2016-17 as he continues to develop his offensive game, but he may be a reach in standard leagues.

Wilson received a qualifying offer from Washington on Monday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wilson will remain a restricted free agent, but could still sign with another team if he receives on offer that the Capitals are unwilling to match. The winger recorded career-highs in goals (7), assists (16), and shots on goal (99) this past season, which has should earn him a more substantial contract. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old was missing in action during the postseason as he registered a lone assist and 13 PIM in 12 outings. An up and coming talent for the organization, fantasy owners may want to keep an eye on his development to see if he continues to improve.
