Tim Thomas (leg) didn't skate Thursday after working out for three straight days. "He's still being evaluated each day," coach Kevin Dineen said. "He's doubtful for the weekend." Thomas has been sidelined since Oct. 22 and it's unclear when he'll be available to return.

Thomas made his second start for the Panthers after missing four games because of a groin injury. He lost 3-2 on Thursday to the Boston Bruins, his former team.
