Tim Thomas (undisclosed) may be back this weekend. He was hurt during practice last Thursday and will miss a third straight game on Tuesday when the Panthers play at Toronto. Consider him day-to-day.

Tim Thomas, who had started 14 of the past 15 games in net for the Florida Panthers, missed Friday's win and will miss at least the next few games after being placed on injured reserve Saturday. Thomas apparently re-injured his groin in practice Thursday at BB&T Center and won't be eligible to play until Friday at Winnipeg. Florida will go with Scott Clemmensen and Jacob Markstrom for at least its first three games of this four-game Canadian road trip. Thomas is travelling with the team.

Tim Thomas could be healthy enough to return to action Sunday against Montreal. Thomas missed Friday's game against Washington after sustaining a groin injury in practice Thursday. Consider Thomas day-to-day for now. If he practices Saturday morning we would upgrade his status. If Thomas can't go on Sunday, Scott Clemmensen will again be in the Florida net. Clemmensen starred in Friday night's shootout win over Washington.

He was just told that Thomas had to leave. If he can't go then Jacob Markstrom could be on his way back up.

Don't look now but Tim Thomas is now on a three-game winning streak. Thomas has stopped 75 out of 80 shots in that span, improving his overall record to 9-10-1 with a .909 save percentage and 2.75 GAA. He stopped 24 out of 26 shots to help Florida win 3-2 via a shootout against Florida on Tuesday. Thomas is worth monitoring, at minimum.

Tim Thomas made 22 saves in the Panthers' 2-1 win over the Red Wings on Saturday night. Thomas has put together two sterling efforts in a row, giving up two goals in his last start, a win against the Jets. Thomas is unlikely to get many wins this year, unless he stands on his head, but he does offer some upside in terms of his rate stats that make him a flier option as a second goalie. He has a 2.81 goals-against average and .908 save percentage this season.

Tim Thomas is projected to start in Florida's game against Detroit on Saturday. It will be the 14th consecutive game that the Panthers have gone with Thomas. However, that streak might end soon as Florida is also scheduled to play on Sunday. Thomas has a 2.91 GAA and .906 save percentage in 19 games this season.

Tim Thomas was able to snap a three-game losing streak with earning a victory in Florida's 5-2 defeat of the Jets. Thomas was sharp in the contest, stopping 29 of 31 shots and improves his record to 7-10-1 with the win. His GAA is now 2.91 and his save percentage is .906.

Tim Thomas made 41 saves in Florida's 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. Thomas is on a three-game losing streak in which he's allowed 12 goals. He's 6-10-1 with a .904 save percentage and 2.96 GAA this season.
