Tim Thomas is feeling a little under the weather. He won't start Monday at Pittsburgh, but he could be available to play Tuesday in Buffalo. Scott Clemmensen will face the Penguins.

Tim Thomas is getting little support from his teammates as of late. In the Panthers' last two games Thomas has faced 78 shots and allowed only six goals. Many of the veteran netminder's saves have been spectacular. If wins is only one of a few goalie categories in your hockey pool, Thomas could make a very solid second netminder.

Thomas might not have the wins to show for it, but he's turning in some exceptional performances night after night. He's now strung together 12 straight plus-.900 save percentage games. At this point, he's worth starting regularly, just think of the wins as a bonus. Thomas has a 2.56 goals-against average and .917 save percentage on the season.

Look for Tim Thomas to get the start Saturday against Carolina. He's been red hot since returning from a leg injury sporting a 6-2-2 record with a 2.00 GAA.
