Mason won't be available for Saturday's home game against the Devils due to an illness.
EDGE Analysis
Mason was going to give way to Michael Neuvirth as the starter in this next contest, but now the former won't dress at all, prompting the Flyers to call up Anthony Stolarz from AHL Lehigh Valley. Mason has an active four-game winning streak going -- recording a .934 save percentage in that span -- but the ship has all but sailed on the team's playoff chances, rendering the impressive run negligible. Still, he'll be reevaluated ahead of Sunday's road game against the Devils.

Mason held the Islanders to three goals on 41 shots Thursday night, securing a 6-3 win -- his fourth straight.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers are trying to claw their way into a playoff spot, and their offense looked motivated, scoring five first-period goals. This wasn't quite as pretty an outing as the other three, but still, Mason's offered newfound stability between the pipes lately, stopping 113 of 121 shots (a .934 save mark) over the course of his winning streak.

Mason will tend the twine for Thursday's matchup with the Islanders, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sitting six points back of the second wild-card position in the Eastern Conference with six games remaining in the regular season, the Flyers face a daunting path to playoff qualification. After going through periods of the season when he appeared to be the No. 2 goaltender to Michal Neuvirth, Mason has played his way into being Philly's undisputed starter for the stretch run. While starting 13 of the team's last 15 games, Mason is 8-4-1 with a 2.10 GAA and .926 save percentage, both marks are improvements upon his season numbers of 2.70 GAA and .907 save percentage. Mason has been a streaky goalie since he entered the NHL in 2008-09, so it's certainly possible that he stays hot Thursday.

Mason stopped 24 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout victory over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
He went unbeaten on three shootout attempts, locking down his third consecutive win. All three have been impressive -- the Wild, Penguins and Senators are all formidable opponents. Of course, runs like this have been the exception for Mason rather than the rule, so he's made it's hard to trust his hot streaks. That's not good news for a guy who'll be looking for a new contract this offseason.

Mason will defend the cage at home against the Senators on Tuesday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arguably the most enigmatic goaltender in the league, Mason is fresh off huge road wins over the Wild and Penguins, respectively. Coach Dave Hakstol will ride the hot hand with the Flyers currently ranked seventh in the Metropolitan Division with 78 points, albeit only six away from a playoff spot. Ottawa is relatively dangerous in road scoring, averaging 2.69 goals per contest for an 11th-place ranking, so compare Mason with any available alternatives on Tuesday's 11-game slate.

Mason allowed two goals on 27 shots in a 6-2 victory against the Penguins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
This is the second time in a week and a half Mason and the Flyers were able to knock off the defending champions. Pittsburgh was at the end of a long road trip in the first matchup, but for this one, Pittsburgh didn't play Saturday and Philadelphia did. Mason turned aside 48 of 50 shots in the two games. Those two games have helped Mason improve his numbers in March. He owns a .918 save percentage and 2.32 GAA in the last 11 games.

Mason will guard the crease for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been markedly inconsistent this season and in the recent slate of games, alternating wins and losses in his last six starts. During that span, he allowed four goals twice, but also posted a shutout and a one-goal victory. It's anyone's guess which Mason will show up Sunday against the high-powered Penguins, who are averaging 3.23 goals per game in March.

Mason saved 24 of 25 shots during Thursday's win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
This was a solid win for Mason and the Flyers, but unfortunately for both, the impressive showings have been few and far between this season. For the campaign, Mason sports an underwhelming 22-21-7 record with a .906 save percentage and 2.73 GAA. He's an unrestricted free agent following the year, so his landing spot will have a significant impact on his fantasy value for 2017-18. He's currently difficult to trust considering his disappointing numbers.

Mason will be in goal versus the Wild on Thursday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Mason has appeared in 10 of the Flyers last 11 outings, it would seem he has retaken the starting job after briefly ceding to Michal Neuvirth. The 28-year-old Mason has been less than stellar --2.25 GAA and .923 save percentage in last 10 -- but coach Dave Hakstol doesn't seem to be pondering a switch between the pipes. It could be a difficult matchup for the netminder as he faces off against Minnesota's second ranked offense -- 3.22 goals per game.

Mason's 30 saves weren't enough in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has appeared in 10 of his team's past 11 games with the Flyers attempting to ride the hot hand in hopes of a playoff berth. The term hot hand is relative, of course, as he has just two wins and 16 goals allowed in his past six games. Philadelphia sits seven points back of Toronto for the second Wild Card spot, so Mason may not be tasked with a heavy workload much longer.
