Mason -- who was designated for injured reserve -- sustained a concussion against the Sharks on Saturday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason appeared to be shaking off a rough start to the season and was getting a couple more looks between the pipes, but now will miss at least the Jets' next three contests after being placed on injured reserve. Given the emergence of Connor Hellebuyck, the veteran Mason will likely remain relegated to the backup role for the rest of the year once cleared to return.

Mason left Saturday's game against the Sharks with an upper-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Mason let up two goals on 13 shots before being replaced by Connor Hellebuyck. The veteran goaltender has gotten off to another unimpressive start, with a 2-3-1 record, 3.31 GAA and .907 save percentage through seven appearances. Depending on the severity of this injury, Winnipeg may elect to call up another goalie from the minors to add depth for Monday's game against the Wild.

Mason will defend the net from host San Jose on Saturday, the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a tale of two seasons for Mason. The former Flyer stumbled out of the gate with his new club, posting a horrendous .846 save percentage through three winless appearances, but he's since gone 2-0-1 with a sterling .964 save mark over four contests. The Sharks haven't been out for blood in the scoring column this season, as they're ranked 28th in the league with 2.52 goals per contest, plus they're coming off a tough 5-4 overtime road loss to the Golden Knights. All things considered, we like Mason's chances of keeping the hot streak lit aflame for the benefit of his fantasy owners.

Mason stopped 38 of 39 shots in a win over the Kings on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has now won his last two starts. He is now 2-3-1 on the year with a 3.76 GAA and a .892 save percentage. The Jets' goalie situation is officially worth monitoring. Mason was initially brought in to be the starter this season but Connor Hellebuyck won the job to start the year. However, with Hellebuyck struggling in his last three starts, the door might be opening for more opportunities for Mason. For owners starving for a starting goalie, Mason is worth a speculative look.

Mason will make a rare appearance as the Jets starter against the Kings on Wednesday, Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason will be making just his fifth appearance in goal in the Jets' previous 20 outings, an indication of how well starter Connor Hellebuyck has been performing. In his limited action, Mason has posted a 1-3-1 record with a disappointing 3.71 GAA and should continue to watch from the bench on a regular basis.

Mason stopped 29 of 30 shots in Saturday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Zac Rinaldo opened the scoring in the first period, but Mason stood tall and shut the door the rest of the way to earn his first victory in a Jets' uniform. Considering Connor Hellebuyck has been struggling and was pulled in his last outing, this performance from Mason couldn't have come at a better time for his fantasy owners. Mason was excellent in his last start against the Blue Jackets and could see some more crease time moving forward. The former Flyer has the potential to steal games, so if he can showcase some consistency, he could be worth an add.

Mason will command the crease as Saturday's road starter versus the Coyotes, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
No.1 backstop Connor Hellebuyck has yielded five goals in two of his last three starts, so head coach Paul Maurice will see if Mason can get the Jets back on track. Acquired in the offseason, Mason was expected to at least grab half of the starts for Winnipeg, but those plans changed in a hurry since he coughed up 16 goals over his first three appearances for an unsightly 5.98 GAA and .846 save percentage. Anything can happen in today's NHL, but at least on paper, the Coyotes pose a weak threat to throttle Mason since they've only recorded seven points in the league standings through 18 games.

Mason made five saves on five shots in relief of Connor Hellebuyck in a loss against the Golden Knights on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets backup netminder played the final period after Hellebuyck allowed five goals in the first 40 minutes. Despite the ice heavily titled in Winnipeg's favor in the last period, no one scored, and the Jets lost, 5-2. In all likelihood, Mason will start the second part of a back-to-back situation Saturday night in Arizona, but there's no reason to think Hellebuyck won't remain the No. 1 netminder with the Jets.

Mason saved 35 of 37 shots during Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
This was easily Mason's best outing of the campaign, as he entered with an atrocious .846 save percentage and 5.96 GAA through his first three starts. As it stands, Connor Hellebuyck has earned No. 1 billing for the Jets, and he'll likely command the crease most nights for the immediate future. Mason probably still carries value in plenty of fantasy settings, but being selective with his matchups moving forward is advised. Additionally, it wouldn't be shocking if Mason and Hellebuyck reverted back to a near 50-50 timeshare down the road.

Mason will tend the twine in Friday's tils versus the Blue Jackets, Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been abysmal to start the 2017-18 campaign, as he has registered a 0-3-0 record with a 5.98 GAA. The netminder's subpar performance likely won't come as a surprise to Flyers fans, who watched him struggle much of last season (26-21-8 with a .908 save percentage). Heading into the season, the veteran looked poised to compete for the starting job, but his struggles, combined with the long-awaited emergence of Connor Hellebuyck, have firmly cemented Mason as the backup in Winnipeg.
