Mason stopped 34 of 39 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Mason struggled early, surrendering a goal just 36 seconds in as part of a four-goal opening frame for Columbus. While he was beaten on just one of 28 shots over the final two periods, Mason still hasn't held an opponent to fewer than five goals in a Jets uniform. It's tough to blame Mason's 0-3-0 record and 5.96 GAA on the team in front of him, as fellow Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is 3-0-0 with a 2.11 GAA.

Mason will get the starting nod against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Sara Orlesky of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason started the first two games of the season, but has sense manned the end of the bench for the previous three outings as Connor Hellebuyck appears to have re-taken the No. 1 role. Considering Hellebuyck's struggles in previous years, there is plenty of time for the 29-year-old Mason to earn back some starts down the stretch.

Despite an earlier report suggesting it was the case, Mason will not start Saturday's contest against the Hurricanes, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Instead of Mason, Connor Hellebuyck will be between the goal posts for the Jets on Saturday. The veteran netminder's next opportunity to retake the crease now arrives Tuesday when the Jets host the Blue Jackets.

Mason will start between the pipes Saturday against the Hurricanes, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has posted an atrocious start to the 2017-18 campaign, allowing 11 goals in his first two starts. After getting a couple of contests off, he will return to the crease Saturday, attempting to get in the win column for the first time this season.

Mason allowed six goals on 45 shots in Saturday's loss to Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
While Mason has been burned for 11 goals in his first two starts with Winnipeg, the team's defense has been very poor and not offered much support. The former Calder Trophy winner had a down year in Philadelphia last season, but was sensational in his first three years with the Flyers. It's easy to point the finger at Mason right now, but if the team improves their play, the wins should start to come. It's too early to be worried about Mason in Winnipeg, but the team's current defensive situation places some uncertainty around his fantasy value this season.

Mason was the first goalie off the ice Saturday morning, which renders him the starter for the evening's road contest against the Flames, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The former Flyer was yanked in his Jets debut Wednesday, having allowed five goals on 20 shots in slightly over two period's time. However, alternate puck stopper Connor Hellebuyck experienced his own struggles, letting the puck travel past him twice on 11 shots in relief. If you're playing in daily formats and prefer to avoid Mason, there will be a wealth of alternatives for your choosing -- after all, 15 teams play on this bulky slate.

Mason lasted just over two periods before being pulled with the Jets down 5-0 to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Nobody expected Mason to be a top option, but he'll have to be better than this if he's going to provide value for the Jets or for fantasy owners. Two power-play goals didn't make things easy on him, but a .750 save percentage just isn't good enough. He'll have a chance to redeem himself when the Jets start a western Canada swing on Saturday at Calgary.

Mason was named the starting goaltender for Opening Night against Toronto on Wednesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Winnipeg is absolutely loaded with talent and management viewed sub-par goaltending as the biggest factor for the organization failing to qualify for the postseason in 2016-17. While Mason won't be confused as an elite netminder, he is a proven veteran that's able to handle a sizable workload and should provide stability in the blue paint for Winnipeg. Mason has drawn a tough assignment for his Jets debut, though, as Toronto ranked fifth in the league in scoring last season and are projected to be even more potent in 2017-18 with the addition of Patrick Marleau and the continued development of their young guns.

Mason gave up three goals to the Oilers in Wednesday's preseason tilt.
EDGE Analysis
Not all of the blame for Wednesday's 4-1 defeat can be laid at the feet of Mason considering two of the Edmonton goals were netted on the power play. Still, the 29-year-old was likely hoping for a better first outing with the Jets if he is going to challenge Connor Hellebuyck for the starting goalie job.

Mason will be between the pipes against Edmonton on Wednesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Mason's first crack at stealing the No. 1 job out from under Connor Hellebuyck. While the 24-year-old Hellebuyck might have the inside track, he has also underperformed expectations which could open the door for Mason. A strong camp from the former Flyer would certainly complicate matters for coach Paul Maurice.
