Mason (concussion) will be reassigned to AHL Manitoba on a conditioning assignment, Paul Friesen of Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite earlier reports that Mason would be getting an NHL start in one of the Jets' upcoming two games, the netminder will actually join the Moose as part of his recovery. AHL Manitoba will be in action Saturday and Sunday -- both against AHL Iowa -- with the veteran likely between the pipes for one of those two contests. If he doesn't suffer any setbacks, Mason should resume his role as the No. 2 behind Connor Hellebuyck.

According to coach Paul Maurice, Mason (concussion) will get the starting nod either Friday or Sunday against Detroit or Carolina respectively, Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not a firm confirmation -- and Mason remains on injured reserve -- but it certainly appears that the netminder is ready to return to action. By utilizing the veteran, Maurice will be able to rest up Connor Hellebuyck, who has appeared in 11 of the Jets' last 12 outings. Once given the all-clear, Mason should resume the primary backup role over Michael Hutchinson.

Mason (concussion) will not be on the bench against the Predators on Tuesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Connor Hellebuyck starting and Michael Hutchinson having proved himself as a capable No. 2, there is little reason for the Jets to rush Mason back into action. Winnipeg isn't scheduled for a back-to-back until March 12 and 13 -- against Washington and Nashville respectively -- so it's unlikely either backup would get a start until then anyway. At this point in the season, the veteran won't offer much in terms of fantasy value, barring a significant injury to Hellebuyck.

Mason (concussion) has received medical clearance to return to game action, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Mason has been medically cleared to give it a go, Michael Hutchinson has been pegged for backup duties Friday against the Blues. It's possible the Jets will keep Mason on injured reserve for the time being, especially with the trade deadline -- and roster expansion -- arriving Monday.

Mason (concussion) faced shots during Sunday's morning skate, Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason hasn't suited up for 14 games, but facing shots is a good sign he'll return soon. The Jets play the Panthers on Sunday night, and it may be unnecessary to activate Mason from injured reserve for that matchup, but keep an eye on the upcoming back-to-back series Friday and Saturday, which would make for a convenient time to return.

Mason skated on his own for the first time since sustaining his concussion, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason appears to be a ways away from returning to a game when you factor in the fact that he has just started skating, after already having missed the previous seven games. Until further notice, the netminder should probably be considered out indefinitely -- hence the club's utilization of injured reserve. Until the veteran can get back on the ice, AHL All-Star Michael Hutchinson figures to serve as the No. 2 behind Connor Hellebuyck.

The Jets placed Mason (concussion) on injured reserve Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This is the second concussion Mason has suffered within the last few months, so the Jets are clearly going to proceed with extreme caution with his recovery. The 29-year-old netminder will be eligible to return whenever he's given a clean bill of health, but there's no telling when that might be at this juncture.

Coach Paul Maurice indicated Friday that Mason is suffering from another concussion, Sara Orlesky of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has now suffered two concussions within the last couple of months, which is an alarmingly short time period for two such instances. He will have to clear the protocol for another opportunity to rejoin the action, with Connor Hellebuyck continuing to serve as the workhorse and Michael Hutchinson rejoining the NHL club as the primary backup.

Mason (illness) headed back to Winnipeg to be reexamined Saturday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has only appeared in three games since the beginning of December, as newly minted All-Star Connor Hellebuyck made quick work of claiming the No. 1 job in Winnipeg and not looking back. Mason's worth dropping in most fantasy settings given that he owns a 3-6-1 record, 3.52 GAA and .897 save percentage; his lingering illness is all the more justification to kick him to the curb in fantasy.

Mason won't dress for Friday's game against the Blackhawks due to an illness, Jim Toth of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Mason unavailable, the Jets were forced to recall Michael Hutchinson from AHL Manitoba to backup Connor Hellebuyck against Chicago. Winnipeg should provide another update on the 29-year-old netminder's status ahead of Saturday evening's matchup with Minnesota.
