Mason was bombarded with 53 shots through regulation and overtime Tuesday in Columbus, and he stopped 51 of those -- plus four of five in the shootout -- but was stuck with the loss.
EDGE Analysis
On the one hand, that's about as Herculean a goalie performance as you can ask for in a loss. On the other, the Flyers -- who are desperately clawing for a wild-card berth -- had a 2-0 lead with just over a minute left in this game, only to see Mason give up two late goals to send it to overtime. To be fair, it's hard to fault Mason on either goal, especially the first one, which happened when a horrendously dysfunctional Flyers power-play unit allowed the shorthanded Jackets to control the puck in their zone until Boone Jenner ultimately deflected a puck in.

Mason will start Tuesday's game against Columbus, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason, who stopped 23 of 24 shots in Monday's win over the Islanders, will remain in the Flyers' net Tuesday, and is set to face former teammate Sergei Bobrovsky in the process. Tuesday's assignment seems to confirm that the Flyers are likely to lean heavily on Mason (backed up by Anthony Stolarz) down the NHL stretch run, with fellow goalie Michal Neuvirth out for the rest of the regular season.

Mason turned aside 23 of 24 shots in Monday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been a bit inconsistent of late, alternating wins and losses in his last five starts to move to 18-16-8 on the season. With Michal Neuvirth sidelined for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, the former Vezina Trophy finalist should be busy down the stretch.

Mason will start between the pipes Monday against the Islanders, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason's hit a bit of a rough patch in the crease of late, allowing three or more goals in each of the last three contests. He'll look to turn things around Monday on the road in Brooklyn against an Islanders club that he's gone 1-1-0 against over three starts this season, posting a 2.14 GAA and .923 save percentage in those tilts. New York also enters having lost three straight and five of the last six, keeping Mason in consideration for both season-long and daily formats.

With Michal Neuvirth set to miss the remaining three weeks of the regular season, Mason could be busy down the stretch, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Neuvirth out, Mason sits atop the Flyers' goalie depth chart, with rookie Anthony Stolarz, who has been recalled by the team on an emergency basis, now on hand to spell the veteran as the regular season winds down.

Mason finished with 31 saves in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh. He allowed three goals.
EDGE Analysis
The start was supposed to be Michal Neuvirth's, but he took ill just before warmups and Mason was tapped to start about 20 minutes before warmups. He was outstanding in the start and kept Philly in the hunt all game, even though they probably shouldn't have been given the shot differential. And his performance was good enough to earn the game's third star.

Mason will tend the twine Saturday versus Pittsburgh, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason has been outstanding of late, as he's recorded victories in four of his last five contests and earned the team nine points in the standings. The netminder will need some help from his defenseman, however, if they are going to get the win against the rival Penguins. In his previous matchup with Pittsburgh, the 27-year-old was peppered with shots, ultimately facing 45 pucks and allowing four to find the back of the net.

Mason made 34 saves during Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
His teammates spotted him a two-goal lead heading into the third period, and although he allowed a goal, he was able to hang on for the victory. That's now four wins in four starts for the 27-year-old. He's been a big piece of Philadelphia's success this season, and a key reason why the Flyers are right in the thick of the battle for a spot in the NHL Playoffs.

Mason is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Red Wings, Dave Isaac of The Courier-Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason will look to help the Flyers get back on the winning track after Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Panthers in which he made 25 saves. Prior to that contest, the Flyers had managed to hold opponents under 20 shots in their three previous games, all of which were wins.

Mason made 25 saves through overtime and allowed two goals in the shootout in a 5-4 loss to the Flyers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Mason had won three straight games prior to Saturday. The Flyers are two points out of a wild card spot in the Eastern conference, so Mason will be pushing hard to get his team into the postseason. That's a good thing for his fantasy owners, especially those in head-to-head formats -- he'll get lots of time in the blue paint.
