Mason made his season debut Saturday, stopping 31 of 35 shots in an overtime loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
While the loss wasn't ideal, Mason made some strong saves and helped the Flyers remain undefeated in regulation. Michal Neuvirth impressed in his season-opening win on Friday, so there is some uncertainty surrounding Mason's playing time moving forward. The 28-year-old is coming off a very strong year, however, and should continue to see a quality amount of starts moving forward.

EDGE Analysis
Michael Neuvirth will start on Friday, and Mason will start Saturday. The two goaltenders will be splitting games throughout the entire season, so it'll be a competition to watch.

He and Tuukka Rask were locked in a goalie duel all night long and he was brilliant most of the night. Mason had 1.32 GAA in the preseason and looks ready for a solid season.

Mason is starting in net for the preseason finale Saturday against the Bruins, Sam Carachidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
EDGE Analysis
Mason, recently returned from the birth of his child, is projected to maintain the bulk of netminding duties heading into Opening Night. Last season, the Ontario native went 23-19-10 with a 2.51 GAA and .918 save percentage.

Mason will be out of the lineup for Thursday's preseason matchup with the Rangers for the birth of his child, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Mason away from the team, the Flyers called up Anthony Stolarz from AHL Lehigh Valley who will likely man the clipboard behind Michal Neuvirth against the Rangers. Fantasy owners may want to be cautious picking up Mason as coach Dave Hakstol frequently flip-flopped between who his starter was going to be last year, especially down the stretch.

Mason will be in the blue paint against the Islanders on Tuesday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mason struggled in his three playoff appearances before being given the hook in favor of Michal Neuvirth last year. While Mason should start the season as the primary netminder, a slow start could see him replaced, which will no doubt weigh on his mind. Until there is more clarity regarding the Flyers goaltending situation, fantasy owners may want to avoid utilizing either player.

Mason allowed six goals on 27 shots in Monday's Game 3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
This game served as a microcosm of the series so far, as not much has gone right for either Mason or the Flyers. To his credit, five of the goals came with Washington on the man advantage, but Mason is working on an unsightly 4.09 GAA and .852 save percentage in the playoffs -- both of which will have to improve if Philadelphia wants to avoid a sweep.

Mason will defend the net in Monday's Game 3 against the Capitals, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite letting in an atrocious goal in the team's 4-1 loss to the Capitals in Game 2, the Flyers will still stick with their main man in the crease. It seems unlikely Mason won't start even if he loses Game 3, but it's quite possible he won't see too many more starts before the club's season comes to a close.

Mason had a tough game Saturday, tweaking his groin and giving up a 101-foot goal in a 4-1 loss to the Capitals. He allowed four goals on 23 shots.
EDGE Analysis
Mason stayed in the game after he did the splits to stop John Carlson from in close early in the second period. Less than a minute later, Mason misplayed a shot from the other side of center that beat him five-hole. Ouch. He still made some brilliant sprawling saves later in the game, but was slow to pop back up. Mason will be hard to pry from the net in the postseason, but could be injured enough to impair his game. Advantage Caps ... even more.

Mason will start in the blue paint Saturday night for Game 2 against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers were shut out in Game 1 on Thursday with Philly setting just 19 shots in the direction of Braden Holtby. Mason's fantasy prospects should be kept at bay until the Flyers show signs of waking up offensively. Still, that figures to be a tall order, as the Caps worked with the second-best defense in the league during the regular season.
