Monahan chipped in an assist in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Sharks. The 20-year-old has been on fire since mid-January, recording six goals and three assists over his last nine games.

Though the 20-year-old saw his goal streak hit the skids at four games, he was at least able to keep his run of consecutive games with a point alive. His quick learning curve as the team's No. 1 center has been a key reason the Flames have been surprisingly competitive in the Western Conference this season. With 15 goals and 16 assists in 48 games, he's just three points shy of matching the point total he posted as a rookie.

Monahan scored the overtime-winning goal Saturday against the Sharks. After going 13 straight games without scoring, Monahan has now found twine in back-to-back games. The 20-year-old is up to 13 goals and 28 points in 45 games, to go with a plus-7 rating. With three game-winning goals, 114 shots on goal, and eight power-play points, Monahan is a solid all-around fantasy option. One thing to note is the lack of PIM. Monahan is a nice guy, so he has taken only two penalties all season. On track for 25 goals and 50 points, the youngster makes for a solid play in almost all formats.

Monahan picked up an assist and an empty-net goal in the final 4:02 of Thursday's 4-1 win over the Coyotes. The Flames would have won even without those two tallies, but they added some nice cushion to their lead as well as to Monahan's stat line. He'd gone four straight without a point before busting out with these late-game points, and inconsistency has dogged Monahan since the start of December.

Monahan dished out two helpers in Wednesday's 4-3 OT win over the visiting Oilers. That's 11 goals and 14 assists in 39 games for Monahan, who is just nine points off the total of 34 he set last year in his rookie season. The fact that the 2013 sixth-overall pick's 25 points are good for fifth on the team is a testament to how far Calgary has come this season. Also, Monahan's 99 SOG lead the team and have him just outside the league's top 50 (53) in that department, which is especially impressive since he threw just 140 pucks on net last year in 36 more games.

Monahan notched an assist in Monday's win over the Kings. The scoring pace has slowed for the 20-year-old in recent weeks with the Flames suffering a long losing streak, but Monahan still has a respectable 23 points in 38 games. While Monahan would surely benefit from an appointment to the top trio with the team's best finisher, Johnny Gaudreau, coach Bob Hartley appears content to divide the talent up between his top two lines.

Monahan recorded his 11th goal of the campaign in a 4-3 loss to the Sabres on Thursday. There hasn't been a sophomore slump for the talented 20-year-old, as he has 20 points in 30 games and is on pace for a 30-goal season. He is one of the burgeoning stars in the league, and should be good for a long time.

The No. 6 pick in 2013 continues to show impressive development -- he's on pace to clear more than 50 points this season.

Monahan has recorded a point in four straight games, further solidifying himself as the focal point of the Flalmes' forward attack. With 17 points on the season, the 20-year-old is already halfway to the total he posted over his entire rookie season.

Monahan's goal in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Blackhawks was his eighth of the season. Even more impressive than his eight-goal total is that they've all come in the last 12 games. He has seven points in nine November games and is a solid start in most leagues.
