Monahan scored a pair of goals and added an assist in Thursday's win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
That's a four-game point streak for Monahan, who is on fire right now. The 21-year-old has scored in back-to-back games and is up to 10 goals and 22 points in 29 games on the season. The top-line center is a fantasy stud right now and will be for many, many years to come. Keep him rolling, as he's on track for another super season.

EDGE Analysis
Monahan returned to action after battling a recent illness, and was able to pick up two points on the night. His second assist set up Dougie Hamilton to tie the game at three with under three minutes to go, and Monahan also potted the game clincher in the shootout.

Monahan left Monday's practice early due to an illness, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan's issue doesn't seem to be anything overly serious, but it did cause him to leave practice early. His status for Tuesday's game could be a bit in doubt, but more should become available on his status at some point Tuesday.

Monahan scored two goals, including the game-winner, against Washington on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This gives Monahan six goals in 18 games, which, given how impressive he was last year, is just a continuation of that success. However, Calgary's slow start has stuck him with a minus-6 plus/minus so far. Last year he was fine in that category, but his rookie season he was a minus-20, so it feels like things could go either way right now.

Monahan netted his fourth goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan started the season a littel slow but is on a roll as of late, with four points in his last four games. His minus-7 is certainly something to frown upon, but the 21-year-old is well on his way to another fine fantasy season.

Monahan scored his third goal of the season, dished out an assist and had a team-high five shots on goal in Saturday's win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
That's 10 points in 15 games for Monahan, who hasn't missed a beat since breaking out for 62 points in 2014-15. Skating on the top line with the red-hot Johnny Gaudreau, there is no reason Monahan can't keep producing at this rate. The talented 21-year-old has been held off the scoresheet just three times in his last 10 games and is well on his way to another productive season.

With an assist on Calgary's lone goal in Sunday's loss to the Rangers, Monahan is on a modest three-game point streak.
EDGE Analysis
He's got just a single point in each game and has yet to register a multi-point effort, so Monahan's off to a bit of a quiet start. That's especially the case when you consider that he has only 10 shots on goal in eight games -- a drastically slower pace than what he enjoyed last season -- and hasn't yet gained a point on the power play. A minus-5 rating, thanks in no small part to Calgary's porous netminding, rounds out what's been an unimpressive fantasy line. But hey, he's still playing on the top trio with Johnny Gaudreau and (usually) Jiri Hudler, expect points to flow in steadily as the season goes on.

Monahan scored his first of the season in Calgary's 3-2 overtime win.
EDGE Analysis
Monahan led all Flames forwards with 23:18 TOI and now has two points in two games. He's the undisputed No. 1 center in Calgary and one of the league's top young players, and should have no problem scoring 30 goals again this year. He forms a dynamic duo with Johnny Gaudreau and the pair should wreak havoc across the league.

Monahan played through a sore leg during the postseason, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Monahan incurred the injury prior to the playoffs, but suggested it was "nothing severe." The 20-year-old took a dramatic step forward this season by totaling 31 goals and 62 points over 81 games, and looks like he could become one of the NHL's premier pivots for years to come.
