He'd managed no goals and two assists over the first eight games of the year, so this represents a nice turnaround for Monahan. The Flames are still giving him top-six minutes, so he'll have every chance to keep it going.

Monahan may have the most scoring ability of anyone in Calgary, and is off to a great start once again despite being sick. After scoring 22 goals last season and joining the first line to start the year, Monahan has a chance at putting up 50 points this season.
