Patrick Sharp (shoulder) will not return on Monday. The good news is that Sharp is probable for Wednesday's contest. That would give him three games to shake off the rust before the playoffs begin.

Patrick Sharp (shoulder) might travel with the Blackhawks in their upcoming two-game road trip. Chicago has two home games before that road trip starts on Monday. "I'm not sitting out because I'm resting. I'm not playing because I can't," Sharp said. "As soon as I can play, I want to get back in there."

Patrick Sharp (upper body) isn't expected to play Friday. Chicago coach Joel Quenneville hopes to have Sharp back before the end of the regular season. He practiced on Thursday after attending Wednesday's optional session.

Patrick Sharp got a bit of a scare in his return from a shoulder injury on Tuesday. Sharp retreated to the bench after absorbing a hard hit into the boards by Minnesota's Ryan Suter. Fortunately, Sharp was fine. He ended up logging 17:58 minutes and recorded five shots on goal in his return. "I felt that line (with Patrick Kane and Marcus Kruger) had a lot of opportunities," Sharp said. "My timing was off, but for the first game I felt great."

Patrick Sharp was activated from the IL on Tuesday April 9.
