Patrick Sharp (shoulder) skated before Friday's practice. Sharp has been out of action, with what the team is calling an "upper-body injury," since March 6th. "He's progressing but is still not close," said coach Joel Quenneville.

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said Patrick Sharp is "progressing" from a shoulder injury. He is likely to resume skating either Thursday or Friday. Sharp was injured Mar. 6 against Colorado.

The Chicago Blackhawks have listed Patrick Sharp's (shouler) timetable as three-to-four weeks. That timetable more or less corresponds with James Duthie's report, which stated that Sharp has a "fairly severe AC joint shoulder separation." Sharp has five goals and 18 points in 24 games this season.

Patrick Sharp reportedly has a "fairly severe AC joint shoulder separation." Sharp was initially projected to miss two-to-three weeks, but it looks like it could be closer to three week to a month. Missing Sharp would be a serious blow, but the good news is that Chicago has built such a lead over the rest of the Western Conference, that it's almost moot from their long-term perspective. As long as Sharp is 100% by the time the playoffs start, Chicago shouldn't be too worse off. Still, this is a body blow to many fantasy teams.

Patrick Sharp will reportedly miss two-to-three weeks due to a shoulder injury. In other words, Sharp might be sidelined until the end of March. He left Wednesday's game after being hit into the boards by Colorado's Ryan O'Byrne. Sharp has five goals and 18 points in 24 games this season.

Patrick Sharp sustained what might be a significant shoulder injury on Wednesday. Sharp was hit into the boards by Colorado's Ryan O'Byrne. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said that Sharp might miss some time as a result of the injury, but he still needs to be evaluated further. When asked if Sharp's season might be over, Quenneville said, "I don't think so."

Patrick Sharp left the Blackhawks' game on Wednesday night in the third period. He was the recipient of a of a Ryan O'Byrne hit against the boards. He immediately left for the dressing room, hunched over in pain. Sharp played 15:59 with five shots on goal and a minus-two rating.

Patrick Sharp scored his first goal since Jan. 24 as the Chicago Blackhawks slipped by the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Sunday. It ended up being the game-winner, too. The slump was pretty arbitrary in the first place because he's been productive (13 points in 15 games), but it's likely he's relieved not to field questions about it anymore. With 40 SOG, it's likely he'll start scoring more goals. Brent Seabrook had an eventful game on Sunday, too, taking a puck to an uncomfortable place but shaking it off to get a goal and an assist.

Patrick Sharp isn't bothered by the fact that he hasn't scored a goal in nine games. "It doesn't matter," Sharp said. "I'm still producing offensively at the same clip as I normally do. It's just Kane is doing the scoring and I'm getting the assists instead of the other way around. And the team is winning. If we were losing it would be a different story." Sharp is absolutely right. While some fantasy owners might be missing his goal scoring production, it's hard to complain about a player that has 12 points in 13 games. We think he'll start to score more as the season progresses, but as long as he keeps collecting assists, it's nothing to panic over.

Patrick Sharp had an assist on Tuesday. Sharp hasn't found the back of the net since Jan. 24, but fantasy owners should be comforted by his contributions in other areas. He has registered 10 assists, giving him 12 points in 13 games this season. He's likely to start scoring goals in the not too distant future, but we don't expect his point-per-game pace to improve.
