If nothing else, it's something to make note of for Sharp owners in leagues with daily lineup moves.

Coach Joel Quenneville is pleased with the play of Patrick Sharp in the early going. "He had a great camp," Quenneville said. "He's skating as good as I've ever seen him skate. Every single time he's hit the ice, it seems he's at a different pace this year. Heƒ?Ts approached the season in a real positive way. It's good. We expect him to be producing at a real nice rate here." Sharp is on the second line with Marian Hossa and Michal Handzus and sees plenty of time on the first power play as he led the Blackhawks in power play time on ice in the first game at 3:43 minutes. If Sharp can remain healthy, a 35 goal, 70-plus point season is easily within reach.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp made New York City appearances Friday to assist the NHL with promoting the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, the 2014 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic and the four-game 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series. The first appearance was at the New York Stock Exchange. Sharp assisted in ringing the opening bell along with eight other NHL players including Jimmy Howard of the Detroit Red Wings and Ryan Kesler of the Vancouver Canucks. The second appearance by the Blackhawks alternate captain was at the Rockefeller Center's Top of the Rock Observation Deck. The Blackhawks will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field in the fourth and final game of the NHL Stadium Series on March 1.
