There is a chance that Marc Staal (right eye) will be in the Ranger lineup Saturday afternoon for Game 2 against the Capitals.
There has been no offical word that Staal has been cleared to play Saturday but he remains a roster possibility as the clearance could come this morning. For now, consider Staal a game-time decision.

Marc Staal (eye) will not dress in New York's playoff opener Thursday night at Washington.
"I felt good today," Staal said in the morning. "I take every day at it comes and I'm happy with the way it went today and felt pretty good, so I'll go through that again tomorrow." He might be able to play at some point in the series, but he wouldn't speculated on when that could occur.

Marc Staal (eye) took some shifts with Dan Girardi during practice Tuesday but coach John Tortorella had no update on his status for the playoffs.
The Rangers open their playoffs Thursday night against the Cpitals and it's highly unlikely Staal will be in the lineup during the early part of that series. Staal said he hasn't "written off" playing in the opening round, but he'll likely remain sidelined until his blurry vision subsides. Tortorella also had no update on Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) and Brian Boyle (lower body), both of whom are unlikely to play Thursday night.

Marc Staal (eye) will not play in the Rangers' season finale.
Staal hasn't played since he was struck near his eye by the puck on March 5. "I knew it was going to take some time once I started," Staal said. "I don't know how long that's going to be. I kind of come into everyday, go onto the ice and hope it gets better and go from there."

Marc Staal (eye) continues to travel with the team as the regular season is close to ending.
Once he tells the Rangers that he's adjusted to playing with his blurred vision, he will get back into the lineup. However, it is unclear when that will happen. Staal hasn't played since March 5.

Marc Staal (eye) was wearing a tinted visor when he was on the ice Saturday morning.
Staal felt the visor helped with the glare from the lights. Staal recently admitted that his damaged eye might never regulate light properly again, but he is optimistic about getting his full vision back. There's no timetable for his return.

Marc Staal is struggling with bright lights and says his damaged eye might never regulate light properly again.
Staal admitted the lights in Rangers' practice rink are hard on the eye. The defenseman is still optimistic about getting full vision back in the eye, but it's clear he'll likely never have the same use of it as he once did. Staal practiced with the Rangers for the second straight day Thursday, but there's no timetable for his return at this point.

Marc Staal (eye) took part in Wednesday's optional morning skate.
It was the third straight he had taken to the ice and first time he skated with teammates and taken shots on a goalie. "The peripheral vision is fine, I have full eyesight," Staal said. "One is just blurry still. Things on the ice, like depth perception, are just a little different. That's going to take some time to get used to." He has work on his conditioning as well, but he appears to be heading in the right direction.
