Marc Staal (eye) will not dress in New York's playoff opener Thursday night at Washington. "I felt good today," Staal said in the morning. "I take every day at it comes and I'm happy with the way it went today and felt pretty good, so I'll go through that again tomorrow." He might be able to play at some point in the series, but he wouldn't speculated on when that could occur.
