Versteeg, who replaced Bryan Bickell (upper body) in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, is expected to stay in the lineup for Game 2 with Bickell remaining on the sidelines, CSN Chicago reports.
While Versteeg is not the hitter like Bickell, he played well in only about 9 1/2 minutes in Game 1. The limited minutes for Versteeg might have been due to his wife recently delivering a child. He added that he felt much more rested heading into Game 2 after the Saturday morning skate. "Yeah, the last couple of days it was nice to get a rest, let the body heal and get ready to go for the next game," he said following Saturday morning's skate. "That was a lot of adrenaline pumping (on Wednesday), especially getting through that game. It'll be good to settle in, hopefully play a good game and help out the team any way I can."

Versteeg will replace Bryan Bickell (undisclosed) in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 1 Stanley Cup Final against the Lightning, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Versteeg has only made one appearance over the past 11 playoff games but Bickell's absence leaves a golden opportunity for the 29-year-old. The replacement was seen skating in the second line during pregame warmups and he'll most likely assume that role in Game 1.

Versteeg was reinserted into the Chicago lineup for the first time in nearly a month Thursday. He skated 13:31 and didn't record a point in a Game 3 loss to Anaheim.
It was his first appearance since Game 6 of the first round against Nashville, way back on April 25. Versteeg and Joakim Nordstrom were surprise additions to the Hawks' lineup, with Antoine Vermette and Teuvo Teravainen sitting out. We'll see whether Chicago redeploys Versteeg in Game 4, but he's not much of a fantasy option at this point.

Versteeg has been scratched from Thursday's Game 4 matchup against Minnesota, Tracey Myers of CSN reports.
Versteeg is reportedly recovered from a lower-body injury, but will be a healthy scratch Thursday. He missed Game 3 with the injury and could be available should the series be extended to Game 5.

Versteeg is no longer suffering from a lower-body injury, but it's unclear whether he will rejoin the lineup or be a healthy scratch, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Versteeg continues to be a borderline healthy scratch regardless of his health, so it wouldn't be surprising if he sits out Game 4 regardless. However, he will be available for the Blackhawks if needed.

Versteeg (lower body) will not play in Tuesday's Game 3 against the Wild, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
Versteeg demonstrated some progress by traveling with the Blackhawks to Minnesota, but he'll sit out a third straight contest with the injury. Teuvo Teravainen, who has tallied a point in each of the first two games of the series, will continue to skate on Chicago's third line.

Versteeg (lower body) will travel to Minnesota for Tuesday's Game 3, ESPN Chicago reports.
He's expected to skate with the Blackhawks on Tuesday morning, after which the club will make a determination on his status for the game later that evening. The winger has been held out of the first two games of the series due to the injury, with Teuvo Teravainen filling in for him.

Versteeg (lower body) is inactive for Sunday's Game 2 against the Wild, CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers reports.
Even if he were healthy, Versteeg wouldn't necessarily be in the lineup. Tuevo Teravainen, who recently took over as the third-line right wing, scored the game-winning goal in Game 1.

Versteeg (lower body) did not participate in the morning skate Sunday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Versteeg was scratched from the Game 1 lineup, and it looks as though that will be the case for Game 2 Sunday. Even if he is healthy enough to go, Versteeg could still end up watching this one as teammate Teuvo Teravainen has taken over the third string duties.

Versteeg (lower body) was not at Friday's morning skate ahead of Game 1 against the Wild, ESPN Chicago reports.
Versteeg may have suffered his injury during the final game of a first-round series against the Predators, even though he got his normal amount of ice time in that game. Regardless of how the injury happened, Versteeg was already in danger of falling out of the lineup for Friday's Game 1, with rookie Tuevo Teravainen expected to replace the veteran on the third line. If Teravainen struggles Friday night, it's possible Versteeg could rejoin the lineup for Game 2, health permitting.
