Hayes logged an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Carolina.
A gorgeous pass to Chris Kreider for a goal midway through the third period. Good to see the rookie get back on the scorer's sheet after just a two-game drought. More importantly the third line center won over 60-percent of his face-offs in the win. The much talked about 22-year-old has six goals and 17 points in 44 games games this season.

Despite skating just 7:41 Tuesday against Ottawa, Hayes snapped his nine-game goal drought, opening the scoring by knocking home a rebound for his sixth of the season.
He'd collected a meager two assists over the last nine, and perhaps not coincidentally has seen his ice time take a hit over the last few games. But the trio of Hayes, Carl Hagelin and Jesper Fast was very noticeable in this one, especially in the first period.

Hayes nabbed an assist in Thursday's 4-3 victory over Los Angeles.
While the 22-year-old's face-off percentage has really tailed off as of late, the 22-year-old does have a goal and two assists in his last five contests. No, not time to write home about the over-hyped Massachusetts native or anything, but 15 points (five goals) in 32 games while playing third line minutes is nothing to quietly dismiss. Keep an eye on this developing former first round pick (2010), he could soon become fantasy relevant.

Hayes tallied an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's win over the Sabres.
A frequent healthy scratch for the Rangers early in the season, Hayes has justified his place in the lineup through his credible play as the third-line center. He's not likely to offer much to fantasy owners while he averages only 12:12 of ice time per night -- with just about none of those minutes coming on the power play -- but his 14 points and a plus-3 rating over 33 games are respectable contributions from the rookie forward.

Hayes holds a four-game point streak as the team begins a road trip in Vancouver on Saturday.
The 22-year-old right-winger has quietly earned a consistent spot centering the team's third unit. While his face-off percentages are less than thrilling the team is very thin down the middle. Regardless, with two goals and three assists in his last seven games not only is it difficult for head Alain Vigneault to consider sitting him, but owners in all formats to should definitely be monitoring the highly regarded rookie.

Hayes scored his third goal of the season in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Lightning.
Hayes now has points in consecutive games, but finished Monday's contest with a minus-1 rating. He's got eight points on the season, but he doesn't see the ice enough to make him worthy of consideration in most leagues.

Hayes tallied his second goal of the season in Thursday's shootout loss to the Avalanche, extending his point streak to three games.
All the point during the streak have come at even strength, allowing Hayes to finish each game with a plus-1 rating, bringing him up to plus-2 over 13 games this season. His minutes figure to remain in the low double-digits following the recent return of center Derek Stepan, but Hayes could make for a useful option in deeper formats while he remains on the third line with functional scorers in Carl Hagelin and Lee Stempniak.

Hayes will return to the lineup Saturday against the Jets, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
A healthy scratch in the Rangers' most recent game Monday, Hayes will draw in for Ryan Malone on the team's fourth line. The Rangers like Hayes' potential and believe he's capable of developing into a top-six forward, but that seems unlikely to materialize during his rookie season. He's record two points and a minus-1 rating over his first six NHL games.

Hayes was not on the ice for warmups Monday, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
With Hayes looking like he's unable to play Monday, expect to see more of Martin St. Louis at center. Hayes did not register any statistics during Saturday's loss to the Canadiens, in which he played 12:03 and recorded a neutral plus-minus rating.

Hayes tallied his first career point, a goal, in a 4-0 win over the Sharks on Sunday.
The rookie has quickly been climbing up the organizational ranks, and centered the second line on Sunday with Rick Nash and Chris Kreider. It's likely not a permanent position, and though he won just five of his 14 faceoffs, he did record the team's fourth goal.
