After a four-game point streak during which he rattled off a goal and five assists, Hayes has cooled a bit, mustering two points over his last six contests. Some type of regression was inevitable, and it won't tarnish what has been a more than respectable rookie campaign for the 22-year-old. He has 40 points and a plus-13 rating over 76 games, which may only be the floor for his production in future seasons.

Hayes picked up two assists and a plus-2 rating Thursday against Ottawa, pushing his point streak to four games. He's got a goal and five helpers over those four contests -- just the latest hot stretch in what's been a period of Hayes really hitting his stride as an NHLer. Over February and March, he's got 21 points and a plus-13 rating in 26 games.

Hayes had a pair of helpers in Sunday's 7-2 win over Anaheim. Hayes, who has three points in his last two games, collects his fourth multi-point effort of the season, all in the last two months. While he's experienced a few mini-slumps during that period, the Boston native has really shown he belongs at the NHL level. With eight goals and 20 points over his last 28 contests, it's clear Hayes will be a much more known commodity heading into next year's fantasy drafts.

Hayes collected a pair of assists in Wendesday's 3-1 win over Washington. While it's just the second multi-point effort of his rookie season, he's logged both of them in the last 30 days. After snapping a four-game point drought with a dazzling goal in Tuesday's win over the Isles, Hayes now has three points in his last two games and a fairl surprising 32 points through 63 games played.

Hayes scored the game-tying goal in highlight-reel fashion and collected two penalty minutes Tuesday night in a 2-1 win over the Islanders. That goal will be getting replayed for a while, as Hayes took a long pass at the blue line and battled Islanders defenseman Thomas Hickey to the net, throwing the smaller player off his back and scoring a spin-around goal on Jaroslav Halak. He'd been held off the scoresheet for four straight games, but that'll happen while Hayes remains stuck in third-line ice time.

Hayes handed out a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- and went plus-1 in Thursday's 4-3 win over Arizona. His helper on Chris Kreider's power-play goal was particularly excellent, as he redistributed a similarly brilliant pass from Mats Zuccarello right onto Kreider's stick with plenty of open net. The rookie now has four points in his last three games and 11 points in his last 11 games. He's arriving for real.

Hayes scored the lone goal of Tuesday's 1-0 win over Calgary, tallying his 12th of the year early in the third period. Hayes was elevated to the first line with Rick Nash (neck spasms) out of the lineup, and he responded with his second goal in as many games. Even without top-line minutes, he's been a strong contributor in recent weeks, having tallied 11 points in his last 13 games.

Hayes scored a goal, had the primary assists on two more, went plus-4 and collected two PIM in Thursday's 6-3 win over Colorado.Well, that's as round a stat line as you can ask for in fantasy. It's also Hayes' fourth straight game on the scoresheet, and it's starting to look like he's putting together a legit breakout. His biggest problem right now is that Derrick Brassard and Derek Stepan are tying up the top-six minutes at center.

Hayes recorded a point Tuesday for the third game in a row and fifth in the last six, scoring a goal in a 5-4 win over Toronto.The prized offseason signing has had a slow year spent mostly on the depth lines for the Rangers, but Hayes is starting to see increased ice time -- 16:39 in this one -- and is producing. He's worth a look in deeper formats.

Hayes collected an assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Nashville. More importantly to fantasy owners was a serious uptick to his total ice time (18:20 TOI) as the rookie centered the team's first line in light of Derek Stepan's (flu) absence. Although Hayes will likely return to third line centering duties when Stepn returns on Sunday against the Stars, he has three points in last four games and should officially be on your radar. The first year pro now has seven goals and 19 points through 47 games played.
