Although it is by no means confirmed, it is looking like James Reimer will get the start in Vancouver Saturday night.
We will know more later in the day. For now, consider Reimer the starter.

James Reimer earned his first shutout of the season and 11th of his career by stopping 43 shots in Toronto's 4-0 victory over the Oilers Tuesday night.
It was Reimer's second straight start and he continued to impress. He now has a 4-0-0 record with a 1.99 goals against average and .949 save percentage. The Leafs play again on Wednesday night and Jonathan Bernier should get a start then, but Reimer is definitely back in the picture.

James Reimer made 37 saves in Toronto's 4-1 win over the Penguins on Saturday night.
A statement win for Reimer and the Leafs. Jonathan Bernier had been given the last four starts, but Reimer might've clawed his way back into the picture with this sterling performance. He has a 2.56 goals-against average and .933 save percentage this season.

James Reimer will get the nod for Toronto Saturday when the Leafs host Pittsburgh.
Reimer will be making his first start since Oct. 17 when teammate Josh Leivo collide with his head/neck area. He owns a 2-0-0 record this season with a .917 save percentage and a 3.18 GAA.

Although it is not certain by any stretch, it looks as if James Reimer will get the start Saturday night against Pittsburgh.
This is based on a number of factors. One, Jonathan Bernier played Friday night and lost to Columbus in a road game. Two, the Maple Leafs had to travel back to Toronto for Saturday night's contest against the Penguins. Three, Bernier was the only goalie on the ice for Saturday morning's optional skate. We believe that all adds up to a Reimer start.

James Reimer didn't get a chance to play Tuesday despite a pair of losses with Jonathan Bernier between the pipes.
While it certainly seems to look like the Leafs are leaning more toward Bernier, Reimer may not have been chosen to start because he was dealing with "a little bit of the flu," which he got over the weekend. Reimer said he could've played though, so that explanation might not be very viable. Bernier halted his two-game losing slide with a 4-2 win over Anaheim Tuesday night. The Leafs play Columbus on Friday and Pittsburgh on Saturday, so Reimer will probably get back into the crease for one of those contests.

James Reimer (undisclosed) thinks he should be fine to play on Saturday if asked.
Reimer left Thursday's game due to a collision and Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said he was dealing with a headache afterwards. That's troubling given Reimer's concussion history, but Reimer felt that he could have even continued playing on Thursday if the NHL's concussion protocols didn't force him out of the contest. He also practiced on Friday, so it looks like he dodged a bullet.

James Reimer (undisclosed) is taking part in Friday's practice.
Reimer left Thursday's game after teammate Josh Leivo collided into him. He has a concussion history and Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle reported that Reimer had a headache as a result of the incident, but his involvement in Friday's morning skate is obviously a great sign.

Coach Randy Carlyle thinks James Reimer will be able to practice Friday.
"He's got a headache," Carlyle said after Thursday night's loss to Carolina. "He got hit. Basically we'd do the same thing with any player. It was a thigh or knee to the neck area and we just took him out of the game. There is a history there, so you have to worry about it." Reimer was forced out of Thursday's contest early in the first period after teammate Josh Leivo made contact with his head.
