James Reimer left Thursday's game against the Hurricanes with an apparent injury less than a minute into the contest. Reimer collided with Leafs winger Josh Leivo and was forced to leave the ice. He has seen been replaced by Jonathan Bernier. It's purely speculation at this point, but given his history of head injuries it's fair to wonder whether the goaltender suffered a concussion on the play. Stay tuned for more details.

James Reimer allowed just one goal on 38 shots in the Leafs' 4-1 win over the Wild Tuesday evening. On a night where the Leafs mustered just 13 shots, their goaltender bailed them out time and time again. It was Reimer's first start in 10 days since being pulled Oct. 5 against the Senators, but the 25 year-old rebounded in a big way. Reimer improves to 2-0-0 on the season.

James Reimer will be back between the pipes for Toronto Tuesday night when the Leafs host Minnesota. Jonathan Bernier had started the past three games, but he looked human against Edmonton Saturday night when he surrendered five goals in a 6-5 overtime victory. Reimer hasn't played since he was pulled on Oct. 5 against Ottawa.

James Reimer was pulled in the middle of the second period Saturday night against the Senators, a game that ended with the Leafs winning 5-4. The goaltender allowed four goals on 20 shots before being replaced by Jonathan Bernier, who was a perfect 15-for-15. These guys are supposed to take turns and therefore Bernier should get the next start on Tuesday since it will be his night. More notably, the Leafs were down 4-2 when Bernier entered but he stabilized things for them and should have the edge on the top job right now. Bernier's been excellent early on, which can't be said for Reimer.

James Reimer is slated to be between the pipes Saturday when the Maple Leafs take on the Ottawa Senators. The Maple Leafs will make their home debut after opening the season with two wins on the road. Reimer gave up three goals on 36 shots in a win over Montreal Tuesday. Jonathan Bernier, who was outstanding in stopping 31 shots in a 3-1 win over the Flyers, will back him up.

James Reimer allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Leafs 4-3 victory on opening night against the Montreal Canadiens. Reimer looked sharp for the most part, allowing two good goals but seemingly giving up on the play on the Habs' third goal. Jonathan Bernier will get the second back-to-back start in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, but the real question is which goaltender will start the Leafs' home opener on Saturday night.

James Reimer will play between the pipes on Tuesday. Among the six netminders that will play in the first night of the NHL season, Reimer was the only one that had to seriously fight for his job during training camp. He's coming off of a mostly positive season, but the offseason addition of Jonathan Bernier has put his standing as the team's top goaltender in doubt. Even though Reimer is expected to start Tuesday night, Bernier won't have to wait long before he makes his Leafs debut. It will be a while before Toronto has a clear number one goaltender.

It hasn't been confirmed, but it sounds like James Reimer will get the nod for Toronto in Tuesday's opener against Montreal. ESPN and TSN insider Pierre LeBrun and Francois Gagnon of RDS reported Monday night that Reimer is Toronto's planned starter for Tuesday. That would mean that Jonathan Bernier would face the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night.

It's still not clear who will play between the pipes in the Toronto Maple Leafs' season opener. Reimer and Jonathan Bernier have both had strong training camps as far as Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle is concerned. Getting that first start is prestigious, but in the case of Toronto, it might not be that big of a deal. The goaltender that warms the bench in the opener will probably get to start in Game 2, so it'll even out in a hurry. Reimer and Bernier will split starts until one pulls away from the other.

James Reimer sticked aside 24 of 25 shots in the Maple Leafs' 3-1 win over the Red Wings on Saturday night. A nice statement preseason game for Reimer, who is aiming to start Game 1 for the Leafs. The netminder has done nothing to not deserve to start the opener for Toronto, but either way, he'll be splitting with Jonathan Bernier to start the year. Josh Leivo scored twice, while John-Michael Liles had the other for Toronto. Mitchell Callahan potted the lone goal for the Red Wings.
