Coach Randy Carlyle thinks James Reimer will be able to practice Friday. "He's got a headache," Carlyle said after Thursday night's loss to Carolina. "He got hit. Basically we'd do the same thing with any player. It was a thigh or knee to the neck area and we just took him out of the game. There is a history there, so you have to worry about it." Reimer was forced out of Thursday's contest early in the first period after teammate Josh Leivo made contact with his head.
